Nilphamari Medical College is a public medical school in Nilphamari, Bangladesh. The class of the first batch of 50 students was commenced on January 10, 2019, on its temporary campus of Nilphamari Sadar Hospital.

Nilphamari is a district in Northern Bangladesh. It is a part of the Rangpur Division. It is about 400 kilometers to the northwest of the capital Dhaka. It has an area of 1,580.85 square kilometres (610.37 sq mi). Nilphamari is bounded by Rangpur and Lalmonirhat in east, Rangpur and Dinajpur in south, Dinajpur and Panchagarh in west, Cooch Behar of India in north. There are many rivers in Nilphamari including the Tista, Buritista, Isamoti, Jamuneshwari, Dhum, Kumlai, Charalkata, Sorbomongola, Salki, Chikli, Chara and Deonai. There are four Municipal Corporation in Nilphamari district. Sheikh Kamal Stadium is a football stadium in Nilphamari, Bangladesh. It is located on the opposite of Nilphamari Government College and is occasionally used for national day parade and handball games. The stadium, built in 1984, took on a new look after huge renovation works were completed in 2018 with approximately Taka 14 crore being spent on building up nearly 750 square-feet of gallery, a new VIP stand, earth filling, and planting fresh grass among other tasks. The seating capacity of the stadium has been subsequently increased to 20,000. Like other public stadiums, this venue is also owned by National Sports Council (NSC) of Bangladesh, and managed by District Sports Association of Nilphamari. On 12 November 2017 National Sports Council has renamed this stadium from Nilphamari District Stadium to Sheikh Kamal Stadium after Sheikh Kamal. This is the 14th venue used for Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) matches.

Baby Naznin is a Bangladeshi singer. She won the 2003BACHSAS Award for Best Female Playback Singer. She also won the 2003 Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for her performance in the film Sahoshi Manush Chai. She is dubbed "Black Diamond" in Bangladesh.
