Nishanth Balakrishnan (born 8 June 1980), known professionally by his stage name Nishanth Sagarpronounced [nɪˈʃaːnthsˈaɡə] , is an Indian actor who works primarily in the Malayalam film industry. He has performed in over 50 films as a hero, co-star and antagonist.
Nishant Sagar made his Malayalam film debut in 1997 with Vijay P Nair's unreleased Ezhunilappanthal . [3] However, his most notable role came in the 1999 film Devadasi, directed by Biju Varkey. He was then pursuing his graduation. He got a breakthrough in 2000 when Lohithadas cast him in Joker along with Dileep. In 2008, he has acted in an Indo-American movie named Pirate's Blood with Sunny Leone in the lead role, although the film was not released in India owing to distribution problems. Other than Joker, he is mainly noted for his roles in Thilakkam as Gopi and in Phantom as Josekutty.

Muhammad Kutty Panaparambil Ismail, known mononymously by the hypocorism Mammootty, is an Indian actor and film producer who works predominantly in Malayalam-language films. He has also appeared in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and English-language productions. In a career spanning five decades, he has appeared in more than 410 films, predominantly in lead roles. He is the recipient of several accolades, including three National Film Awards, nine Kerala State Film Awards, eleven Kerala Film Critics Awards and thirteen Filmfare Awards South. For his contribution to film, the Government of India awarded him the Padma Shri in 1998. In 2022, he was honoured with Kerala Prabha Award, the second-highest honour given by the Government of Kerala.

Joker is a 2000 Indian Malayalam-language satirical drama film written and directed by A. K. Lohithadas and produced by Salim Sathar under the banner Aachis Films. Garudan (transl. Eagle) is a 2023 Indian Malayalam-language crime thriller film directed by Arun Varma in his directorial debut, written by Midhun Manuel Thomas and produced by Listin Stephen. In the film, Harish Madhav, a police officer, and Nishanth Kumar, a college professor, face-off in a legal battle over a student molestation case. The film also features an ensemble supporting cast including Siddique, Jagadish, Abhirami, Divya Pillai, Thalaivasal Vijay, Major Ravi, Dileesh Pothan, and Nishanth Sagar.
