Nitin Agarwal is an Indian politician and a prominent member of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, representing the Sadar constituency in Hardoi (156). He has held various important positions in the Uttar Pradesh state government and has been a key political figure in his region.

Early life and education

Nitin Agarwal was born into a politically influential family. He is the son of  Naresh Chandra Agarwal , a veteran politician, and  Manjul Agarwal . He is married to  Garima Agarwal , and the couple has three children: two daughters, Anahita Agarwal  and  Enaya Agarwal , and a son,  Adidev Agarwal.

Political career

Nitin Agarwal's political career began with his election to the  15th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly  in 2008 through a by-election. He has since been elected to the  16th , 17th , and  18th Legislative Assemblies , marking a steady presence in Uttar Pradesh politics.


1.  2008-2012 : Elected as a member of the  15th Legislative Assembly  through a by-election from the Sadar constituency, Hardoi.

2.  2014-2017 : Held the position of  State Minister (Independent Charge) for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Export Promotion .

3.  2022-present : Serving as the  Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Excise and Prohibition  in the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Mohammad Azam Khan is an Indian politician, lawyer and former elected representative who has served as the Member of Parliament from Rampur. He is one of the founding members of the Samajwadi Party and was a member of the Seventeenth Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh. Mulayam Singh Yadav was an Indian politician, a socialist figure and founder of the Samajwadi Party. Keshav Prasad Maurya is an Indian politician, currently serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Maurya was associated with a right-wing Hindu organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, before entering active politics through BJP. He was also involved in cow protectionism in his early life.
