The University of Jos,abbreviated as Unijos,is a Federal University in Jos,Plateau State,central Nigeria.
The Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) is a federal government university in Owerri West,Owerri,the capital of Imo State,Nigeria. The university is bounded by the communities of Eziobodo,Ihiagwa,Obinze,Okolochi and Emeabiam. It is the premier federal university of technology in the South-East and South-South parts of Nigeria.

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is a Nigerian union of university academic staff,founded in 1978. ASUU is an offshoot of the Nigerian Association of University Teachers (NAUT) which was established in 1965. At that time,NAUT consisted of only five universities in total including University of Ibadan,University of Nigeria,Nsukka,Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria,University of Ife and University of Lagos. Professor Victor Emmanuel Osodeke emerged as the body's president on 30 May 2021.

He is a member of American Society of Tropical Medicine &Hygiene (ASTMH). Dozie was a consultant to the World Health Organisation;WHO’s African programme for Onchocerciasis. He is the Director,Linkages and Advancement,Federal University of Technology Owerri.

Emeka Emmanuel Oguzie is a Nigerian chemist and researcher. He is the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Federal University of Technology,Owerri.
Jude Nzochukwu Njoku better known as Jude Njoku is a Nigerian professor of Agricultural economics. He served as the 4th Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Technology Owerri from 2000 to 2005.
