No Sin Evades His Gaze are a British heavy metal band, formed in 2013 by former Ravenface vocalist James Denton. [2]

Career

The band released their debut album titled "Age of Sedation" in July 2014, alongside a music video for the eponymous track. [2] The album was met with critical acclaim, with Metal Hammer calling the band "the future of heavy tech" and The Guardian stating "Whilst it’s slightly sickening that people so young can play their instruments to such an insanely high level, the resultant racket is undeniably thrilling". [3] Prior to the album's release, the band released the track "Age of Sedation" via Planet Rock Radio on 2 May 2014, and the track "Roll Up The Royalty" via Metal Hammer on 10 June 2014. [2]

The band toured throughout the UK during the summer and autumn of 2014, including playing at the prestigious Bloodstock Open Air festival on Friday 8 August 2014. [4]

The band continued to tour throughout 2015, supporting bands such as Xerath on 18 February 2015, and Monuments on 9 August 2015. [5]

They released a single titled Preacher on 11 October 2015, with another single titled If Only To Fall released in March 2017. They released their second studio album titled Endless Disconnect on 12 May 2017, to critical praise.

Musical style and influences

The band's style is stated to take influence from progressive metal, groove metal, metalcore and also been affiliated with the djent movement. [2] Their music is very riff driven, taking ideas from bands such as Pantera and Lamb of God. The band are also known for their aggressive lyrical style and delivery.

Arch Enemy is a Swedish melodic death metal band, originally a supergroup from Halmstad, formed in 1995. Its members were in bands such as Carcass, Armageddon, Carnage, Mercyful Fate, Spiritual Beggars, The Agonist, Nevermore, and Eucharist. It was founded by Carcass guitarist Michael Amott along with Johan Liiva, who were both originally from the death metal band Carnage. The band has released ten studio albums, three live albums, three video albums and four EPs. The band was originally fronted by Johan Liiva, who was replaced by German vocalist Angela Gossow in 2000. Gossow left the band in March 2014 to become the group's manager and was replaced by Canadian vocalist Alissa White-Gluz.

At the Gates Swedish melodic death metal band

At the Gates is a Swedish death metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1990. The band was a major progenitor of Gothenburg-style melodic death metal. Prior to their first disbandment in 1996, At the Gates released four albums, ending with and including Slaughter of the Soul (1995), which has been seen as a landmark in the mid-1990s Swedish death metal scene. After reuniting for a one-off tour in 2008, the band reformed once again in 2011, and they have since released three more albums: At War with Reality (2014), To Drink from the Night Itself (2018) and The Nightmare of Being (2021).

Amon Amarth is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Tumba, formed in 1992. The band takes its name from the Sindarin name of Mount Doom, a volcano in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. Their lyrics mostly deal with Viking mythology and history, and so they have been sometimes erroneously labeled “Viking metal,” although the band insists they play melodic death metal.

Powerwolf, often stylized as POWERWOLF, is a German power metal band founded in 2003 in Saarbrücken by members of Red Aim. Huron are an English thrash metal band formed in Plymouth in late 2007. They released their first studio album, Cheyne Stoking, in June 2009 on Rising Records. Kobra and the Lotus Canadian heavy metal band

Kobra and the Lotus (also initialized as KATL) is a Canadian heavy metal band formed in 2009 by lead vocalist and songwriter Kobra Paige.

Oracles is a Belgian band formed by the couple Sven de Caluwé and Miri Milman and featuring members from Israel, Netherlands, Greece and the US. On March 13, 2014, the band had announced an indefinite hiatus and disbanded after a messy divorce between Sven and Miri, but reformed in December 2014 as Oracles, with Sanna Salou, from Dimlight, on vocals. The Defiled were a four-piece British industrial metal band from London, England mixing groove-laden hardcore/metal with electronic music influences. Winterfylleth (band) English black metal band

Winterfylleth is an English black metal band from Manchester. Since their inception in 2006, the band has released seven studio albums and have become a popular act in both the English underground metal scene and the wider international metal arena. Winterfylleth are self-described as "English Heritage Black Metal" and is often considered to be musical 'brothers-in-arms' with fellow English black metal band Wodensthrone owing to the common lyrical and aesthetic themes they share. The band takes its name from the Old English word, 'Winterfylleth' which translates into modern English as 'Winter Full Moon', and is signified by the arrival of the first full moon of winter.

Bleeding Oath were an English progressive rock band from London, formed in 2009. The lineup consisted of Rob Haigh, Micah Douglas (guitar), Moat "Literally Large" Lowe (bass) and Harrison White (drums). They gained notoriety for their large Facebook campaigns, irreverent attitude and self-deprecating humour, as evidenced by the group and its fans getting artists from various major groups, including Andrew W.K., DragonForce, Jason Aalon Butler of letlive. and Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth to tell them, in jest, to "fuck off". Along with Opeth, the band cited groups such as Between the Buried and Me, Mastodon and Cynic as influences, as well as progressive metal, 20th-century classical music and jazz.

Sinnergod

Sinnergod are a five piece English goth rock band from Wigan, England. Their sound is recognisable as an atmospheric, layered wall of sound consisting of guitar driven riffs and symphonic keyboards. The band have built a fanbase following support slots with bands such as The Misfits, Bam Margera of CKY and Jackass, Orgy, Blaze Bayley, Eso formerly Esoterica, Deathstars and Sarah Jezebel Deva from Cradle of Filth, as well as a festival appearance at Bloodstock Open Air in 2007. Metal Hammer magazine labelled Sinnergod as "The new goth kings of Manchester" in the September 2014 issue.

Pythia (band)

Pythia are an English symphonic metal band founded in London by drummer Marc Dyos, vocalist Emily Ovenden, and guitarist Ross White. Emily was also a member of Mediæval Bæbes whilst Marc and Ross had been in death/thrash metal band Descent.

Ravenface are an English heavy metal band, originating from Blackpool, Lancashire, England, formed in 2007.

Lotus Eater were a Scottish heavy metal band from Glasgow. Playing a style that puts a heavy emphasis on rhythm and downtuning, they have been cited by publications such as NME and Metal Hammer as helping to lead the new wave of heavy music in Britain alongside groups like Loathe and Holding Absence.

Slugdge is a British extreme metal band, formed in Lancashire, England, in 2012. Originally a studio project headed by former No Sin Evades His Gaze guitarist Kevin Pearson and vocalist Matthew Moss, in 2018 the group expanded into a full lineup with the addition of No Sin Evades His Gaze bassist Matthew Lowe, and The Black Dahlia Murder drummer Alan Cassidy. The group has released four studio albums to date.

Venom Prison are a Welsh death metal band. Stephen Hill of Metal Hammer described their second album as "2019’s most anticipated extreme metal albums". Their lead vocalist Larissa Stupar was described by Kerrang! as "metal's most important - and uncompromising - voice". The band has released four studio albums.
