Noel Israel Khokhar is a retired Major General of the Pakistani Army. He was one of the highest-ranking Christian serving officers in the Pakistan Army. As of 2020,he is currently serving as an Ambassador of Pakistan to Ukraine. [3]
He was born in Lahore and attended the St. Anthony's High School in Lahore and Forman Christian College. Khokhar joined the Pakistan Army and passed out from the 62nd PMA Living Course in 1976 and was commissioned in the 9th Medium Regiment of the Pakistan Army Artillery on 24 October 1980. [4]
He served in a variety of command and staff positions as well as with the United Nations. He has also been an instructor in Pakistan Military Academy,Pakistan Command and Staff College,and the National Defence University. [5] He is also a graduate from the Institute of Advanced Studies in National Defence and Royal College of Defence Studies in the United Kingdom. He also holds a master's degree from Quaid-i-Azam University and King's College London and a PhD in International Relations.
On 9 May 2009,the Army Promotion Board in Rawalpindi promoted Brigadier Khokhar to the rank of major general. [6]
According to an Inter Services Public Relations Press Release dated 6 September 2010 Khokhar was General Officer Commanding in 2010. [7]
In 2011 Major General Khokhar commanded the 23rd Division. Khokhar had also been Chief Instructor of the A-Division at the National Defence University,Islamabad. In 2011 the President of Pakistan,Asif Ali Zardari awarded Khokhar the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (M). He had also been serving as DG ISSRA,a think tank at the NDU.
In 2011 he was also on the editorial board of the National Defence University Journal,Islamabad. He is one of the only Christian officers who have made it to the rank of major general. [8]
He retired in August 2016 after serving for 36 years. [4]
He is currently serving as the Ambassador of Pakistan to Ukraine.

Formerly established on 28 May 1970 at Rawalpindi,its academic principles are focused on command instructions,national security,military strategy,and war studies among other specified academic disciplines. It is one of the oldest military education and training institutes in the country with additional enrollments reserved for the civil servants.
Major General Athar Abbas is a former Director General of the ISPR and former Ambassador of Pakistan to Ukraine from 2015 to 2018. He retired from active military service after 35 years in June 2012.

Lieutenant General Hamid Nawaz Khan,HI(M),was a career Pakistan Army general who served as Interior Minister of Pakistan from November 2007 to April 2008 and Defence Secretary of Pakistan from 2001 to 2005. He also held the positions of chairman at Pakistan International Airlines,the Civil Aviation Authority and the Fauji Foundation.
Brigadier Samson Simon Sharaf is a retired officer in the Pakistan Army and a Political Economist. He served in Pakistan's Army for 33 years,most notably in Nuclear Policy making. Despite being qualified in security and nuclear strategy,he prefers to call himself a political economist:the role of a modern strategist.
Major General Muhammad Nawaz was a general officer of the Pakistan Army. For his meritorious and excellent service he was awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-e-Basalat by the Government of Pakistan.
General Rashad Mahmood NI(M),is a retired four-star army general in the Pakistan Army who served as the 15th Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee. He was appointed as Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan by prime minister Nawaz Sharif on November 27,2013. He retired on November 27,2016.
Brigadier Sikandar Khan was the commander of the artillery corps of the IV Corps in Pakistan Army. He was due to retire in 2014,but voluntarily retired in 2013 as a one-star general to run his own security company,Ever Ready Security Management (Pvt) Ltd. He was offered to be the director of National University of Modern Languages after his retirement but he respectfully declined to focus on expanding his security company. Khan has been awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz for his distinguished service.
Lieutenant General Asim Saleem BajwaHI(M) TBt is a retired Pakistani three-star general who served as the chairman of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority from November 2019 to August 2021 and the special assistant to then Prime Minister Imran Khan on the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting from 28 April 2020 to 12 October 2020. On 11 December 2016,Bajwa was appointed as Inspector General Arms at GHQ,where he served until his appointment to the position of Commander Southern Command and XII Corps in September 2017. Previously,he also served as Director General of the ISPR from 2012 to 2016.

The Government of Pakistan conferred the Sitara-e-Basalat and Hilal-i-Imtiaz awards on Iqbal for his contributions to the nation.
Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah HI(M) is a Pakistani army general,the current Chief of Army Staff since 29 November 2022. Prior to becoming army chief he was posted at the GHQ as Quartermaster general. He commanded the XXX Corps in Gujranwala from 17 June 2019 to 6 October 2021. He served as the 23rd Director-General of the ISI until he was replaced with Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed on 16 June 2019. Asim Munir was the recipient of the prestigious Sword of Honour for his excellent performance as a cadet in the Officers Training School,Mangla.
Nauman Mahmood HI(M) is lieutenant general in the Pakistan Army currently serving as the 35th President of National Defence University since 23 November 2021. His previous assignments includes Commanding Officer (CO) of an Infantry Regiment and Chief of Staff (COS) of a Corps. He also served as General Officer Commanding (GOC) of an Infantry Division in North Waziristan District and finally Director General Inter-Services Intelligence as a two star before getting promoted to a Lieutenant General. He was appointed to the General Headquarters as Inspector General for Communication &Information Technology Branch at Rawalpindi.
Lieutenant General Shafaat Ullah Shah HI(M) is a retired three star general of the Pakistan Army,diplomat,and author. He often writes for the Pakistan Armed Forces magazine,"Hilal English". He has served as Chief of Logistics Staff at the GHQ,Colonel Commandant of the Baloch Regiment,Commander IV Corps,and as Military Secretary to President Musharraf.
