The North Shore Academy is a secondary school in Stockton-on-Tees, North East England. [1] The school was opened in 2010, and replaced Blakeston School and Norton Comprehensive School. The main campus of the Academy was situated on the old Blakeston School site. The academy has now moved to a new site on Talbot Street, Stockton-on-Tees. The Academy name was changed from North Shore Health Academy to North Shore Academy in September 2012 reflecting the change of sponsors from NHS Stockton to the Northern Education Trust.

Teachers and councillors raised concerns over high exclusion rates in Northern Education Trust schools, after 40.3% of North Shore Academy pupils were excluded at least once in 2017–2018 against a national average of 2.3%. This was the second highest rate in the country. [2]

Redmarshall is a village and civil parish in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees and ceremonial county of County Durham, England. The population as of the 2011 census was 287. Redmarshall is situated to the west of Stockton-on-Tees, just north of the A66 road which is one of the main trunk routes through Teesside. It is home to the Church of Saint Cuthbert and a pub called The Ship. It has a green in the centre and roads such as Church Lane, Coniston Crescent and Windermere Avenue, named after waters in the Lake District. Ferguson Way is the newest addition to the village. A small wood is a short way out of the village and down a bank past Ferguson Way. There is a new housing estate called the langtons being built on the old remains of the mains care home.

Ian Ramsey Church of England Academy is a mixed Church of England secondary school located in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham. It is named after Bishop Ian Ramsey, a former Bishop of Durham. The new Head of School is Brian Janes the Executive Headteacher is Gill Booth, who came to support Ian Ramsey from Venerable Bede in Sunderland after it was put into special measures by Ofsted, which led to the resignation of the former Headteacher Janet Wilson in May 2014. The school is always oversubscribed. Ian Ramsey Church of England School converted to academy status on 1 December 2014 and was renamed Ian Ramsey Church of England Academy.
