Northeast High School is a public high school in St. Petersburg, Florida. The school is part of the Pinellas County Schools district. Located just across the street from Meadowlawn Middle School and east of John M. Sexton Elementary School (named after Northeast's first principal), Northeast High School is one of the main high schools in the Saint Petersburg area. The school mascot is the Viking and the school colors are scarlet, cream, and black. Northeast High School is commonly referred to as NEHI.

On May 5, 1961, an F2 tornado struck the high school.

Douglas Michael Waechter is an American former professional baseball pitcher for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Florida Marlins and Kansas City Royals of Major League Baseball. He graduated from Northeast High School and was then drafted by the Devil Rays in the 3rd round of the 1999 Major League Baseball Draft. During his minor league career he threw a no-hitter when he was with the Single-A short season club, the Hudson Valley Renegades. Since making his major league debut in 2003, he was shuffled back and forth between Triple-A Durham and Tampa Bay, making 54 starts with the Devil Rays.

Cardinal McCarrick High School (CMHS), later known as Cardinal McCarrick/St. Mary's High School, was a Catholic secondary school located in South Amboy, New Jersey, that operated under the supervision of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Metuchen. James Louis Beattie is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played for the New York Yankees and Seattle Mariners from 1978 to 1986. He also served as the Montreal Expos' general manager from 1995 to 2001, and was the Baltimore Orioles' general manager with Mike Flanagan from 2003 to 2005. As of 2010, Beattie served as a professional scout in the Toronto Blue Jays organization through the 2018 season. Beattie retired from his decades-long career in MLB at the end of the 2018 season. Beattie starred in baseball and basketball at South Portland High School in South Portland, Maine.

Franklin E. Wren is an American front office executive in Major League Baseball. He began his baseball career as a minor league player for the Montreal Expos and later joined the team as an executive. Wren moved to the Florida Marlins in 1991, then was hired by the Baltimore Orioles in 1998 for his first stint as a general manager. After the season, Wren was hired by the Atlanta Braves. The Braves promoted Wren to general manager in 2007, a role he kept until 2014. He joined the Boston Red Sox in September 2015.

Robert Wayne Stanifer is an American former relief pitcher who pitched for the Florida Marlins and Boston Red Sox of the Major League Baseball (MLB). He also pitched one season for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). Listed at 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m), 205 lb., he batted and threw right-handed.

Estancia High School is located in Costa Mesa, California and is part of the Newport-Mesa Unified School District which serves approximately 21,000 students who reside in the cities of Newport Beach and Costa Mesa.
