The Norwegian Armed Forces Joint Medical Services (Norwegian : Forsvarets sanitet; abbreviated FSAN) is the joint medical services of the Norwegian Armed Forces. It is led by the head of the Joint Medical Services who is a Major-General or Rear Admiral. It is headquartered at the teaching hospital Medisinsk Utdannings- og kompetansesenter ("Military Medical Education and Competence Center"; MUKS) in Sessvollmoen near Oslo. [1] It was established in London on 7 July 1941 and formed part of the Norwegian High Command. Before 1941 the medical services of the different branches of the military were separate. The history of the medical services of the Norwegian armed forces date back to the 15th century in the case of the navy and the 17th century in the case of the army. [2] [3]
Danish Defence is the unified armed forces of the Kingdom of Denmark charged with the defence of Denmark and its constituent, self-governing nations Greenland and the Faroe Islands. The Defence also promote Denmark's wider interests, support international peacekeeping efforts and provide humanitarian aid.

Its main focus is local defense and civil support, but it can also detach volunteers for international operations. Its main tasks are safeguarding territorial integrity, strengthening military presence, and protecting important infrastructure.
The Norwegian Military Academy, in Oslo, educates officers of the Norwegian Army and serves as the King's Royal Guard. The academy was established in 1750, and is the oldest institution for higher education in Norway.
The Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNoAF) is the air force of Norway. It was established as a separate arm of the Norwegian Armed Forces on 10 November 1944. The RNoAF's peacetime establishment is approximately 2,430 employees. 600 personnel also serve their draft period in the RNoAF. After mobilization the RNoAF would consist of approximately 5,500 personnel.
Military ranks and rank insignia of Norway were changed June 1, 2016, with the reintroduction of the Non-Commissioned Officer Corps, and the abolishment of the one-tier officer system in place since 1975.

Forsvarets Spesialkommando (FSK) is a special operations forces unit of the Norwegian Special Operation Forces. The unit was established in 1982 due to the increased risk of terrorist activity against Norwegian interests, including the oil platforms in the North Sea.
Bardufoss Airport is a primary airport situated at Bardufoss in Målselv Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The airport, which is the civilian sector of the Royal Norwegian Air Force's (RNoAF) Bardufoss Air Station, is operated by the state-owned Avinor. It consists of a 2,443-meter (8,015 ft) runway, a parallel taxiway and handled 218,451 passengers in 2014. Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) operates three daily flights with Boeing 737s to Oslo. The airport's catchment area covers central Troms.
The Staff Band of the Norwegian Armed Forces is the foremost of the military bands of the Norwegian Armed Forces and Norway's largest professional wind band, employing 39 full-time musicians. The band is based in Oslo and participates in parades and ceremonies for Norwegian royalty, the government and the armed forces, and tours throughout Norway and abroad. In addition, the band has an extensive concert schedule in the Oslo area.
The Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies is a research centre in Oslo, Norway, and Norway's national research institution in violence and sexual abuse; disaster management, terrorism, armed conflicts and traumatic stress; and forced migration and refugee health research. It is interdisciplinary and employs experts mainly in psychology, psychiatry, and the social sciences. In addition to carrying out research and related activities, the institute advises the Government of Norway in its areas of expertise and has some official emergency management functions at the national level. NKVTS has 101 employees.

Kristian Rikardsen Løken was a highly decorated Norwegian military officer who served in the Belgian Force Publique from 1907 to 1917, fighting German colonial forces in East Africa from 1914 to 1917, and went on to command a Norwegian Army infantry brigade during the 1940 Norwegian campaign of the Second World War.
Lars Weisæth is a Norwegian military psychiatrist. He is Research Professor Emeritus at the Norwegian Centre for Violence and Traumatic Stress Studies, Professor Emeritus of Disaster Psychiatry at the Institute of Clinical Medicine at the University of Oslo and a lieutenant-colonel and former chief psychiatrist of the Norwegian Armed Forces Medical Service.
The Army Medical Service was a branch of the Norwegian Armed Forces. Dating back to the 19th century, it was dissolved in 2002 when all medical services became part of the Norwegian Armed Forces Medical Services.

Arne Sund was a Norwegian military psychiatrist. He "established Norwegian military psychiatry as leading within NATO" and is regarded as the "founder of the research field of disaster psychiatry."
Forsvarets Musikk (FMUS) is the department that oversee all the military bands (musikkorps) of the Norwegian Armed Forces (Forsvarets). Being the organizational body of military bands, it is based in Oslo, the national capital.
