Nostalgia for Infinity is the debut studio album by Sound of Ceres. [3] It was released on 4 March 2016 by Joyful Noise Recordings. The album title is derived from the name of a starship in the Revelation Space series by Alastair Reynolds. [4]

In his review for AllMusic, Tim Sendra wrote: "Nostalgia for Infinity is dream pop at its finest and Sound of Ceres have made the kind of debut album that should earn love and respect from all corners of the indie rock world" [1]

I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It is the second studio album by English rock band the 1975, released on 26 February 2016 through Dirty Hit and Polydor. In 2014, frontman Matty Healy released a series of cryptic tweets containing lyrics from the album, revealing its title the following year. After their social accounts were deleted and reinstated with a new visual identity, the band officially confirmed the album in September 2015, a month before "Love Me" was released as the lead single. Over the course of five months, "Ugh!", "Somebody Else" and "The Sound" were released as singles, with "A Change of Heart" released four days prior to release. Hypnagogic pop is pop or psychedelic music that evokes cultural memory and nostalgia for the popular entertainment of the past. It emerged in the mid to late 2000s as American lo-fi and noise musicians began adopting retro aesthetics remembered from their childhood, such as radio rock, new wave pop, lite rock, video game music, synth-pop, and R&B. Recordings circulated on cassette or Internet blogs and were typically marked by the use of outmoded analog equipment and DIY experimentation.

Sound of Ceres

Sound of Ceres is a dream pop collaboration with Karen and Ryan Hover of Candy Claws at the band's core. After releasing three albums under the moniker Candy Claws, Karen and Ryan Hover decided to develop a new sound with a new band, founding Sound of Ceres in Fort Collins, Colorado in 2014. Other members include Jacob Graham and Derrick Bozich.
