Novel American was an American rock band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 2011. They were formed following guitarist Josh Farro's departure from Paramore and consisted of Farro, Ryan Clark (bass, backing vocals) formerly of Cecil Adora, and Zac Farro (drums, percussion). [2] Josh Farro's brother and former Paramore bandmate Zac joined as drummer following the departure of former Cecil Adora members Tyler Ward and Van Beasley in May 2011. [3]
The band never released any material and officially disbanded in 2014.
Guitarist Josh Farro was a member of Paramore, having formed the band with his brother Zac as well as Hayley Williams. [4] After releasing three successful studio albums, [4] both Josh and Zac departed the band in 2010. [5] [4] Though initially unsure if he wanted to be in another band, [6] Farro jammed with friends, former Cecil Adora members Van Beasley, Ryan Clark and Tyler Ward. [6] They decided to form another band, choosing the name Novel American, which was suggested by Farro's wife. [6] The group planned to record an EP as well as play local venues in the future. [6] It was announced in February that Josh's brother Zac became the band's new drummer in place of Ward. [2] In April, the band posted clips of new material on their Facebook page. [7] However, the following month, Novel American confirmed the departure of vocalist Van Beasley, citing creative differences. [3]
In May 2014, Josh Farro announced that Novel American no longer exists. [1]
The band have cited groups such as Jimmy Eat World, Radiohead, Explosions in the Sky and Sigur Rós as influences. [6]

Paramore is an American rock band from Franklin, Tennessee, formed in 2004. The band currently consists of lead vocalist Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York and drummer Zac Farro. Williams and Farro are founding members of the group, while York, a high school friend of the original lineup, joined in 2007. The band is signed to Fueled by Ramen, a subsidiary of Atlantic Records, both owned by Warner Music Group. Williams was separately signed to Atlantic as she was scouted when she was a teenager, and they were the only label to let her stay in the band instead of going solo, but Atlantic said the rest of the band had to sign to Fueled by Ramen. She is also the only member to appear on all six of Paramore's studio albums.
All We Know Is Falling is the debut studio album by American rock band Paramore, released on July 26, 2005, under the Atlantic-distributed Fueled by Ramen in the United States. The production was led by James Paul Wisner, Mike Green, Nick Trevisick, and Roger Alan Nichols. The departure of bassist Jeremy Davis, which occurred a few days after arriving in Orlando, served as the album's main theme. This theme was reflected especially in the album's cover and title. Mostly categorized as a pop-punk album, the album received mostly positive reviews and has been labeled a "scene classic".
The Summer Tic is the first EP by American rock band Paramore. It was released on June 18, 2006, and was sold during the 2006 Warped Tour and the tour supporting their previously released album, All We Know Is Falling.
