Ntandokazi Yolisa Capa (born 10 March 1977) is a South African politician who has been the Member of the Eastern Cape Executive Council for Health since 2024. A member of the African National Congress,she was elected to the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature in the 2024 provincial election. Capa was involved in the local politics of the OR Tambo District Municipality before being elected to the provincial legislature.
Capa was born in Flagstaff in the Cape Province of South Africa. Both of her parents Ndumiso Capa and Rosemary Capa are African National Congress politicians. [1]
Capa was elected as an ANC councillor in the Ingquza Hill Local Municipality in 2011. She was elected council speaker of the municipality following the municipal elections in 2016. [1] In April 2020,she missed a deadline to explain to the Eastern Cape MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs Xolile Nqatha why she broke COVID-19 lockdown regulations by attending a Good Friday church service organised by the municipality. [2] In August 2021,she was elected mayor of the Ingquza Hill Local Municipality,becoming the first woman to hold the position. [3] Following the municipal elections that were held three months later,Capa was elected speaker of the OR Tambo District Municipality. [4] In July 2023,she was elected chairperson of the African National Congress Women's League in the Eastern Cape. [5]
Capa topped the ANC's candidate list for the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature in the 2024 provincial election and was easily elected to the provincial legislature. [6] A week after her swearing-in as a member of the provincial legislature,Eastern Cape premier Oscar Mabuyane announced his executive council which saw Capa appointed as the Member of the Executive Council for Health. Qubudile Richard Dyantyi is a South African politician who represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly from 2019 until 2024. Before that,he was a Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament and served as the Western Cape's Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Local Government and Housing from 2005 to 2008. Gerald Mlungisi Mvoko is a South African businessman and politician who was elected deputy provincial chairperson of the African National Congress in the Eastern Cape in October 2017. He became the member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Human Settlements in May 2018 before being moved to the Education portfolio in November of the same year. Mvoko became the MEC for Finance,Economic Development and Environmental Affairs in May 2019 and served in the position until May 2024,when he was appointed MEC for Finance.

From June 2014 to May 2019,she was the chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Social Development.

She served as the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Health from 2014 to 2018,when she was appointed MEC for Social Development. From 2019 Dyantyi was a member of the South African National Assembly.

Nokwanje Selina "Mathabo" Leeto is a South African politician who was elected to the Free State Provincial Legislature in the 2014 general election. She was appointed as the Member of the Executive Council for Sports,Arts,Culture and Recreation. Leeto left the provincial legislature at the 2019 general election. She was elected provincial treasurer of the African National Congress in January 2023 and returned to the Provincial Legislature in March 2023. She was then appointed as the MEC for Health. Following the 2024 general election,Leeto took over as the MEC for Social Development.
