NVDES is an experimental indie pop, indietronica, and electropop project based in Los Angeles, California. Founded by Josh Ocean in 2015, NVDES has released several singles and a visual album, Vibe City Utah (2018). [1]

Song usage

NVDES was dubbed "Apple's unofficial house band" [2] after the band was featured in various Apple commercials over the years. In January 2018, the song "D.Y.T. (Do Your Thing)", [3] featuring Remmi, [4] was featured in an iPhone X commercial. [5] The song "Brazooka" was featured in the iPhone 11 commercial in September 2019, and in April 2020, the song "Purusha" was featured in the iPhone SE commercial. [2]

The song "Ou La La La (All Eyes On Us)" was also featured in a 2020 MIRROR by Lululemon commercial. [6]

"Bum Bum" is a song by American singer Kat DeLuna featuring Trey Songz, released by eOne as a standalone single on March 30, 2015. A dance song, it samples and interpolates Sister Nancy's "Bam Bam" (1982) and Shaggy and Rikrok's "It Wasn't Me" (2000). The instrumental has reggae influences and the lyrics are about sex. The song was included on DeLuna's compilation album Loading (2016). Critics had a mixed response to "Bum Bum", which peaked at number 32 on the Rhythmic Billboard chart. The song was promoted with a music video released on June 16, 2015. In it, DeLuna dances and appears nude. Noise Cans and Frank Delour released remixes for the single.
