Plot

Conor Marsh lives a secluded life with his dog, Sandy, until one day he begins playing OBEX, a new, state-of-the-art computer game. When Sandy goes missing, the line between reality and game blurs and Conor must venture into the strange world of OBEX to bring her home. [4]

Reception

On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes , 96% of 48 critics' reviews are positive.The website's consensus reads: "A beguiling odyssey that offsets its scrappy production values with sumptuously analog production, OBEX is a wildly inventive riff on the digital world." [7] Metacritic , which uses a weighted average , assigned the film a score of 76 out of 100, based on 12 critics, indicating "generally favorable" reviews. [8]
