Ley Line Entertainment is an American independent film production company founded in 2018 by Theresa Steele Page and Tim Headington. The company is best known for producing films Light from Light (2019) Miss Juneteenth (2020), The Green Knight (2021) and Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022).

Overview

In December 2018, Theresa Steele Page and Tim Headington launched Ley Line Entertainment, a film and television production and finance company, additionally producing theater and music. [1]

The company's first film Light from Light directed by Paul Harrill had its world premiere at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival in January 2019, and was released in November 2019, by Grasshopper Film. [2] Early projects from the company included an original musical produced in partnership with Grammy-winning music producer Max Martin, & Juliet ; a documentary of Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson, Brian Wilson: Long Promised Road ; and The Green Knight from writer and director David Lowery. The company recorded and released the soundtrack to Brian Wilson: Long Promised Road under its Tango Records label, which featured the original song "Right Where I Belong” co-written by Brian Wilson and Jim James. The company also produced Everything Everywhere All At Once alongside A24, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture and grossed over $100 million. [3] [4]

Ley Line Entertainment’s philanthropic efforts include a recurring grant in partnership with filmmaker David Lowery to the Austin Film Society’s North Texas Pioneer Film Fund.

Awards & Recognition

& Juliet premiered on the West End in November of 2019. The play was nominated for 9 Oliviers and won 3.

In 2020, the independent drama film Miss Juneteenth won the Louis Black “Lone Star” Award at SXSW. In 2021 the film was nominated for four Independent Spirit Awards, including “Best First Feature.”

In 2021, “Right Where I Belong” was shortlisted for the Oscar for “Best Original Song.”

In 2022, Everything Everywhere All At Once was nominated for 11 Academy Awards and won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Film Editing.

Fire of Love is a 2022 independent documentary film about the lives and careers of volcanologists Katia and Maurice Krafft. Directed, written, and produced by Sara Dosa, the film had its world premiere at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival on January 20, 2022, where it won the Jonathan Oppenheim Editing Award. It was released on July 6, 2022, by National Geographic Documentary Films and Neon. It received acclaim from critics, and was nominated for Best Documentary Feature at the 95th Academy Awards.

Jonathan Wang is a Taiwanese-American film producer best known for Swiss Army Man (2016) and Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022). He is the long-time producing collaborator of the director duo known as the Daniels. Wang began his career in music video production and later pivoted to feature films with his debut feature Swiss Army Man, which won the Sundance 2016 U.S. Dramatic Directing Award. Since then, he has produced multiple feature films, including Everything Everywhere All at Once, which has become A24's highest-grossing film of all time, and for which Wang won the Academy Award for Best Picture.

On Swift Horses is an upcoming American drama film directed by Daniel Minahan, with Bryce Kass adapting the script from the novel by Shannon Pufahl of the same name. Ley Line Entertainment, FirstGen Content and Cor Cordium produce the project, which has an ensemble cast which includes Daisy Edgar-Jones, Jacob Elordi, Will Poulter, Diego Calva and Sasha Calle.

Tango Entertainment is an American film production company founded in 2017 by Lia Buman and Tim Headington. The company is best known for producing films Little Woods (2018) The Old Man & the Gun (2018), Skate Kitchen (2019), Little Fish (2020), Never Rarely Sometimes Always (2020), Resurrection (2022), and Aftersun (2022).

Between the Temples is a 2024 American comedy film directed by Nathan Silver and written by Silver and C. Mason Wells. It stars Jason Schwartzman, Carol Kane, Dolly de Leon, Caroline Aaron, Robert Smigel and Madeline Weinstein.
