OSN News is a 24-hour satellite channel offering exclusively American news programming from NBC, and MSNBC to U.S. expatriates, primarily geared towards an audience in the Arab countries. The channel is available on OSN Network in Middle East and North Africa.
OSN News offers live coverage from major U.S. news networks and Canada news networks such as NBC and MSNBC such as NBC's Today are followed by news magazine programs, documentaries, and financial shows. World, business, technology and entertainment news and weather from MSNBC is also offered.
OSN News is broadcast by Orbit Showtime Network, a major pay television service in the Middle East and North Africa. In 2009 two new channels were launched, Orbit News 2 and Orbit News 3, offering extended coverage of American news from MSNBC and NBC. These two services were taken off air during the fall 2010 at the same time the main channel changed names from Orbit News to OSN News.

In 2019, MSNBC ranked second among basic cable networks averaging 1.8 million viewers, behind rival Fox News, averaging 2.5 million viewers.

Owned by Saudi Arabia-based Mawarid Holding, it was the first fully digital, multi-channel, multi-lingual, pay television service in the Middle East and North Africa and was also the world's first fully end to end digital TV network. Launched in 1994, it was originally situated in Tor Sapienza, Rome, Italy as the location was considered entirely suitable to build a satellite farm. Orbit employed around 600 employees who were largely a combination of British and Italian staff with several Arabic speaking nations also represented. Orbit broadcast in several languages around the world including English, Arabic, French and Filipino.
Showtime Arabia was Showtime Networks' pay television service in the Middle East and North Africa. It was a joint venture between Kuwaiti holding company KIPCO and American media firm Viacom Inc.. The company was incorporated in the Cayman Islands and had its headquarters at Dubai Media City in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

OSN Sports was a Pan Arab satellite sports television network owned by Orbit Showtime Network. First launched in early April 2007, it operated eight HD channels: OSN Sports Action 1, OSN Sports Action 2, OSN Sports 3, OSN Sports 4, OSN Sports 5, OSN Sports Cricket, OSN WWE Network and OSN Fight Network.

As of 2015 OSN offers 154 television channels and 53 high-definition channels and 3D entertainment. OSN was formed as a result of merger of two of the Mideast's largest TV networks from homes and hotels, Orbit and Showtime Arabia in 2009.

Both feeds are owned by AT&T's WarnerMedia under its International division.
The scheduling of television programming in North America must cope with different time zones. The United States has six time zones, with further variation in the observance of daylight saving time. Canada also has six time zones. Mexico has four time zones. This requires broadcast and pay television networks in each country to shift programs in time to show them in different regions.
