Of Virtue is an American metalcore band formed in Lansing, Michigan in 2008. The band consists of lead vocalist Tyler Ennis, guitarist and co-lead vocalist Damon Tate, guitarist Michael Valadez and drummer Ryan Trinh. The band has released three albums and three EPs, with the newest album called Omen coming out September 29, 2023.

History

Of Virtue was formed in 2008. On December 19, 2009, they self-released their debut EP To Breathe Again. [1]

On August 27, 2011, they released their debut album Heartsounds. [2]

On December 16, 2012, they released a two track EP Learn/Love. [3]

On June 2, 2015, they released their second album Salvation. [4]

In 2018, Of Virtue released two singles "Surrounded" and "Torn Apart".

In early 2019, they announced their signing to SharpTone Records and released "Suffer" from their then upcoming third album What Defines You. The album was released on May 24, along with the music video for the song "Alone". The music video for "Immortal" was released on September 25. On November 13, 2020, the band released the acoustic rendition of "Torn Apart", announcing the deluxe edition of their third album at the same time. The deluxe edition of the album was released on November 20. On December 9, the band released a music video for the reimagined version of the song "Pictures of You", featuring Patrick Harney.

On April 28, 2022, they announced that they parted ways with SharpTone Records and signed to Arising Empire. They also released their single "Sinner" on the same day. On June 2, they released "Hypocrite". On July 15, they announced their EP Sinner, which was released on August 12. The music video for "Cold Blooded" was released the day before the EP.

On February 8, 2023, they released a music video for their song "A.N.X.I.E.T.Y.". On March 22, they released a music video for "Cannibals". On June 12, they announced their fourth studio album Omen, which is scheduled to release on September 29. The third single "Cut Me Open" was released on June 20.

As of 2015, they achieved worldwide sales of two million units for combined sales of all their albums. Cave In is an American rock band that formed in 1995 in Methuen, Massachusetts. The band's lineup solidified with the 1998 release of Until Your Heart Stops through Hydra Head Records, and their early albums were prominent in the metalcore scene. The band later experimented with other genres, receiving mainstream recognition for their 2003 RCA Records album Antenna and its lead single "Anchor," which had an overall alternative rock style. The group went on hiatus in 2006, later reforming in 2009 with the release of the Planets of Old EP, followed by the White Silence LP in 2011, both of which saw a return to Cave In's earlier and heavier sound.

Strata is an American rock band from Campbell, California, formed in 2000, when guitarist Ryan Hernandez and singer Eric Victorino met and left their previous bands. Bassist Hrag Chanchanian and drummer Patrick Spain completed the lineup under the band's original name, Downside. The band released an EP entitled "For Testing Purposes" and an album called Sleep in 2001. Garnering major label attention early on, Downside signed a development deal with Capitol Records, during which time they replaced drummer Patrick Spain with Adrian Robison and recorded a collection of songs called, The Industry Is Outnumbered... Their Factories Are Burning Down, much of which would become their major label debut, under the name Strata, on Wind-Up Records in 2003.

Make Them Suffer is an Australian metalcore band from Perth, formed in 2008. They are currently signed to SharpTone Records. Their debut studio album, Neverbloom, peaked at No. 56 on the ARIA Album charts in June 2012, and showcased the band's earlier mix of metalcore, blackened death metal, and symphonic metal. Its follow-up Old Souls debuted at No. 30 upon release in May 2015 and displayed the band beginning to transition from death/black metal to a more progressive metalcore sound. After the band signed with Rise Records, the label released an expanded version of Old Souls in August 2016, containing also an EP from their death metal era Lord of Woe and a new track, "Ether". Despite the name, the band is not named after the Cannibal Corpse song of the same name.

Breathe Carolina are an American electronic music duo from Denver, Colorado. The duo formed in 2007 consisting of David Schmitt and Kyle Even. They later expanded to a full band whose best-known lineup included Schmitt, Even, drummer Eric Armenta, keytarist Joshua Aragon and DJ Luis Bonet. In 2013, Even left the group, while Tommy Cooperman joined that year. Breathe Carolina is currently composed of Schmitt and Cooperman.

Texas in July is an American metalcore band from Ephrata, Pennsylvania, formed in 2007. They released an EP, Salt of the Earth, and their debut full-length album, I Am, through CI Records. After signing with Equal Vision Records, they released three more studio albums: One Reality on April 26, 2011; a self-titled album on October 9, 2012; and finally Bloodwork on September 16, 2014. The band broke up at the end of 2015. After the disbanding, JT Cavey went on to join Erra and Chris Davis went on to join The Ghost Inside.

The band's final lineup consisted of vocalist Rui Martins, guitarists Steeves Hostin and Baptiste Vigier, bassist Valentin Hauser, drummer Boris le Gal, and keyboardist Victor Guillet. At the time of their breakup in 2023, they were signed to Out of Line Music. American Standards is an American hardcore punk band from Phoenix, Arizona, formed in 2011. The band consists of members Brandon Kellum (vocals), Corey Skowronski, Steven Mandell (bass), and Chris Daley (drums). Their musical style is rooted in technical hardcore with strong elements of punk and metal. They've garnered much critical and fan acclaim for their high-energy, intense live shows and raw sound. They're also known for Kellum's emotionally and politically charged lyrics, which have included topics such corporate greed, media satire, materialism, loss and personal struggle.

Crying is an American rock band from Purchase, New York formed in 2013. They consist of Elaiza Santos (vocals), Ryan Galloway and Kynwyn Sterling (drums). They have released two EPs and released their debut album Beyond the Fleeting Gales in October 2016.

Invent Animate is an American metalcore band formed in Port Neches, Texas, in 2011. The group consists of vocalist Marcus Vik, lead guitarist Keaton Goldwire, rhythm guitarist Trey Celaya, bassist Caleb Sherraden, and drummer Brody Taylor Smith. They self-released their debut EP titled Waves on March 13, 2012. After a number of regional tours and increasing popularity in the online djent community, the band was signed up by Tragic Hero Records in February 2014. The band announced they would release their debut studio album titled Everchanger on August 26, 2014. Their sophomore album, Stillworld, was released on July 8, 2016. Their third album and first with Marcus Vik, Greyview, was released on March 13, 2020. Their most recent studio album, Heavener, was released through their new label, UNFD, on March 17, 2023.

The Zenith Passage is an American technical death metal band from Los Angeles, California founded in 2012. They are currently signed to Metal Blade Records. To date they have released one EP, Cosmic Dissonance, and two LPs, Solipsist and Datalysium.

Bad Omens is an American metalcore band from Richmond, Virginia, formed in 2015 by vocalist, frontman and producer Noah Sebastian, guitarist Nicholas Ruffilo, and bassist Vincent Riquier. The band was later joined by guitarist Joakim "Jolly" Karlsson and drummer Nick Folio, releasing their critically acclaimed debut self-titled album in 2016 under Sumerian Records. Their second full-length album, Finding God Before God Finds Me, was released in 2019, with a deluxe version released in 2020. Omen is the fourth studio album by American metalcore band Of Virtue. It was originally set to be released in September 2023, but it was ultimately released on October 27 after a month long delay. This is their second release through Arising Empire, following Sinner EP released in 2022.
