A fourth incarnation, Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom: Protecting the Wild, hosted by Peter Gros, will begin airing on NBC Saturday mornings in October 2023.

Produced for the Discovery Channel, the show's title is derived from the inherent high risk of injury or death associated with this line of work.

Meerkat Manor: The Story Begins is a 2008 television film created by Discovery Films and Oxford Scientific Films as a prequel to the Animal Planet series Meerkat Manor. A scripted documentary narrated by Whoopi Goldberg, the film details the life of a meerkat named Flower from birth to her becoming the leader of a meerkat group called the Whiskers. The film is based on the research notes of the Kalahari Meerkat Project and primarily uses wild meerkat "actors" to represent those in the story. Shot over two years at the Kuruman River Reserve in Northern Cape, South Africa, the film employed a much larger crew than the series. Some scenes were shot at a wildlife park in the United Kingdom, while others were created using camera tricks and trained film animals.
River Monsters is a British and American wildlife documentary television programme produced for Animal Planet by Icon Films of Bristol, United Kingdom. It is hosted by extreme angler and biologist Jeremy Wade, who travels around the globe in search of the most fearsome freshwater and saltwater killers, looking for clues, eyewitnesses, and stories about people who were dragged underwater by these vicious predators. He tries to catch the biggest specimens and then release them back into the wild. His aim is to help people understand the truth behind the animals' attacks on humans to save these rare creatures from extinction.
Weird, True & Freaky is a program that aired on Animal Planet in 2008 which focuses on unusual biology. Although some episodes center on unique animal behavior and traits, some focus on cryptids, animal-human relationships, experimental animals, humans who possess animal instincts, exotic breeds, surviving populations, etc. Weird, True & Freaky was produced by Hoff Productions.
Pig wrestling is a game sometimes played at agricultural shows such as state and county fairs, in which contestants, try to hold onto a pig. In the most common version, a team of four members chases a domestic pig around a fenced-off mud pit and attempts to place it in a barrel, in a race against the clock. In some events the pigs are greased with lard, vegetable or mineral oil in order to make catching the pig even more difficult.
Monsters Inside Me was an American television documentary series about infectious diseases. It included first-person interviews with people and medical professionals telling their personal stories about contracting rare diseases with most of them being parasites. Interviews with contributors were shot on location across North America. Recreations were mostly filmed near hospitals and homes in New York City.
Your Worst Animal Nightmares is a 2009 short-lived television show made by John Stainton broadcast by Animal Planet for The Discovery Channel. It is a docudrama with real events re-enacted by actors, along with actual news footage of the events and some interviews. Most of the episodes are set in Australia, with one set in New Zealand.
Quest Arabiya was a free-to-air pan-Arab television channel. The channel was launched on 7 December 2015 across the Middle East and North Africa region. It was the region's localized version of the Quest UK channel. The channel was owned by Discovery Communications in partnership with the Abu Dhabi-based Image Nation.
