Offuman is a town in the Bono East Region of Ghana. [1] Offuman, which is pronounced by the natives as "Fuman".
It an ancient town in Bono East Region in the Techiman North District of today's Bono East Region of Ghana. It is located at the north-western part of Techiman, 21 kilometers from Tuobodom. It also lies 13 km southwest of Wenchi.
Offuman now has a population over 9,277. The king (Omanhene in the Akan language) of Offuman in the 18th century, until the 1930s, was Dikro Nana Kwame Ankomah FUMAN/Offuman hene/Chief. In reality Asona hene was the only Chief in Offuman those days. Asona hene save Nana Ameyaw, Bono hene for many countries as Asona hene in Techiman Palace as Chief executives with his Brother Nana Benkum hene of Techiman traditional council (Techiman Forikrom hene). After Dikro Nana Kwame Ankomah passed away, his nephew continued as the next Chief. Now, nephew of Dikro Nana Kwame Ankomah has succeeded his Nana Kwame Gyamfi Kumanini, he ruled during the Gold Coast time until 1991 when he passed away. His nephew Nana Yaw Boahen became the successor when he (Nana Kwame Gyamfi Kumanini) passed away.
In the early days, the only elementary school in Offuman was the Wesley Methodist School. [2] [3] The school is a second cycle institution. [4]

The Akan people are a Kwa group living primarily in present-day Ghana and in parts of Ivory Coast and Togo in West Africa. The Akan speak languages within the Central Tano branch of the Potou–Tano subfamily of the Niger–Congo family. Subgroups of the Akan people include: the Agona, Akuapem, Akwamu, Akyem, Anyi, Ashanti, Baoulé, Bono, Chakosi, Fante, Kwahu, Sefwi, Wassa, Ahanta, Denkyira and Nzema, among others. The Akan subgroups all have cultural attributes in common; most notably the tracing of royal matrilineal descent in the inheritance of property, and for succession to high political office. All Akans are considered royals in status, but not all are in royal succession or hold titles.
Tuobodom is a town in the Bono East region of Ghana. Tuobodom is the capital for the Techiman North District created by the then President of Ghana Professor John Evans Atta Mills. The inhabitants of the town are mainly farmers with some percentage being traders and other government workers. Tuobodom is the capital of Techiman North District of the Bono East region with some adjoining towns like Aworowa, Buoyem, Offuman, Tano Boase and their environs. The main crop that the farmers grow are Tomato and green pepper. Tomato and green pepper are grown on a large scale in the town which helps support the livelihood of the residents.

Dormaa Ahenkro is the capital for the Dormaa traditional area and serves as the seat of the Paramount chief Oseadeeyo Nana Agyeman Badu II.
Sene District is a former district that was located in Brong-Ahafo Region, Ghana. It was originally created as an ordinary district assembly on 10 March 1989. However, on 28 June 2012, it was split off into two new districts: Sene West District and Sene East District. The district assembly was located in the eastern part of Brong-Ahafo Region and had Kwame Danso as its capital town.

Kintampo North Municipal District is one of the eleven districts in Bono East Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Kintampo District on 10 March 1989, until the southern part of the district was split off to create Kintampo South District on 12 November 2003 ; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Kintampo North District, which it was later elevated to municipal district assembly status on 1 November 2007 to become Kintampo North Municipal District. The municipality is located in the northern part of Bono East Region and has Kintampo as its capital town. As at 2021, Isaac Baffoe Ameyaw was the Municipal Chief Executive of the Assembly after he was nominated by Nana Akuffo-Addo.
Asokore Mampong is the capital of the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly, a district in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Popularly known for Kumasi Academy a senior high school and the SSNIT affordable housing projects. The chief of Asokore Mampong is Nana Boakye-Ansah Debrah.

The Ghana Library Authority, established in 1950 as the Ghana Library Board, was the first public library service in sub-Saharan Africa. The public library movement in Ghana began in 1928, as a personal effort of the then Anglican Bishop Orfeur Anglionby of Accra. In 1946, the Aglionby Library Management Committee worked with the British Council Advisory Committee, towards library development in the then Gold Coast. In 2018 President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo appointed a Ghanaian Social Entrepreneur, Hayford Siaw as GhLA Chief Executive Officer. In May 2021, the Authority was shortlisted for the LBF International Excellence Awards in the 'Library of the Year' Category.

Martin Kwaku Adjei-Mensah Korsah is a Ghanaian politician and member of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana representing the Techiman South Constituency in the Bono East Region on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party. He is currently the Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development.
The Bono East region of Ghana is a new region carved out of the Brong Ahafo region. The capital of the new region is Techiman. This creation of this new region was in fulfillment of a promise made by the New Patriotic Party prior to the 2016 Ghana general election. Upon winning the elections, the President, Nana Akuffo Addo created the Ministry of Regional Reorganization to oversee policy formulation and implementation. In all six new regions are to be created from the existing ten regions of Ghana. The other regions are Ahafo, Western North, Savannah, North East, and Oti regions.
