Ogbonna Nwuke (born 16 September 1959) is a Nigerian politician, newspaper publisher and owner of the Port Harcourt Telegraph. He has served in both non-elected and elected public offices, including Director of Press Affairs to Governor Chibuike Amaechi, Commissioner of Information and Communications (2008–2009) as well as Commerce and Industry (2009–2010) and Member of the House of Representatives for Etche–Omuma constituency (2011–2015). Early life

Ogbonna Nwuke was born on 16 September 1959 to the Nwuke family in Omuma local government area, Rivers State. His father J.H.E. was Parliamentary Secretary of Internal Affairs under the Nnamdi Azikiwe administration in Eastern Nigeria, later Provincial Commissioner of Port Harcourt Province and Minister of State for Works under the M.I. Okpara administration. [2]

Political career

Nwuke was elected to the House of Representatives of Nigeria in 2011. He represented the federal constituency Etche-Omuma until 2015. [3]

Peter Otunuya Odili was the third Governor of Rivers State in Nigeria from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. Odili is a member of the former ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP).

The Nigerian National Assembly delegation from Rivers comprises three Senators representing Rivers East, Rivers West, Rivers South East and thirteen Representatives representing Degema/Bonny, Okrika/Ogu-Bolo, Asalga/Akulga, Ahoada West/Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni, Port Harcourt 1, Ikwerre/Emohua, Khana/Gokana, Etche/Omuma, Tai/Eleme/Oyigbo, Abua-Odual/Ahoada East, Obio/Akpor, Port Harcourt 2, Andoni/Opobo/Nkoro.

Rotimi Amaechi Nigerian politician

Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is a Nigerian politician who is currently serving as the Minister of Transportation in the cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari. He previously served in oil-rich Rivers State as Governor of Rivers State from 2007 to 2015 and Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 1999 to 2007.

Emmanuel Chinwenwo Aguma was a Nigerian politician and lawyer from Rivers State, a long-term member People's Democratic Party. He was the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in the state. Between 2000 and 2002 Aguma worked as Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Port Harcourt Branch, and also chaired the Bar from 2006 to 2008. On 10 July 2015, the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee conferred the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) on him alongside 20 others, to be sworn in on 21 September 2015.
