The Rivers State Ministry of Commerce and Industry is a government ministry of Rivers State, Nigeria that is charged with the responsibility of dealing with matters that have to do with commerce, industry and cooperative, as well as to accelerate the economic and commercial development of the state. The ministry is led by its Commissioner, Chukwuma Chinye, who is assisted by Permanent Secretary Kadilo Brown. [1] The official headquarters of the ministry are at State Secretariat, Port Harcourt. The Rivers State Tourism Development Agency is an agency of the Government of Rivers State in Nigeria. It is responsible for promoting and improving sustainable tourism activities and attractions in the state. Established in January 2012, the agency's mission is to initiate partnerships with local and international tourism, cultural and development agencies with a view to maximize the tourism potentials in Rivers State and meet best global practices.

Ipalibo Gogo Banigo is a Nigerian medical doctor, politician and the first female Deputy Governor of Rivers State. A member of the People's Democratic Party, she has held various important offices at the Rivers State Ministry of Health. During her service, she assumed the positions of Director of Public Health Services, Acting Commissioner, Director-General and Permanent Secretary. She achieved prominence first in 1995, as Secretary to the Government of Rivers State before serving as Head of Service of the state. In December 2014, Ezenwo Wike selected her as his running mate in the 2015 election. She was elected Deputy Governor and assumed office on 29 May 2015.

The Rivers State Fire Service is the state-owned firefighting body in Rivers State, primarily tasked with providing fire protection, emergency response and safety services to the state, its residents and visitors. The Fire Service has stations located at Borokiri, Port Harcourt, Degema, Ahoada and Rumuodomaya. Its activities are overseen by the Rivers State Ministry of Special Duties. In 2009, the value of property saved in 85 fire incidents across the state accounted for ₦6.7 billion.

To achieve its goal, the ministry outfits the fire service and emergency management departments with a reliable infrastructure. The current incumbent commissioner is Mr. Bariere Thomas.

The Rivers State Ministry of Water Resources and Rural Development (RSMWRRD) is a government ministry of Rivers State, Nigeria entrusted with the management of water resources and promotion of socio-economic development of rural areas in the state. The ministry was formed in 1995 and has its current headquarters in the city of Port Harcourt. The ministry's mandate is to "Put in place programmes and events that attract international, national and local tourists."

The Rivers State Ministry of Employment Generation and Empowerment is a government ministry of Rivers State, Nigeria formed in July 2003, with a goal to "provide individual citizens with gainful employment and to empower them with skills to become self-reliant." Kenneth Bie Kobani is a Nigerian politician of the People's Democratic Party. He is a former Rivers State Commissioner of Finance, and was previously a Commissioner of Commerce and Industry. He served as a minister in the Cabinet of President Jonathan, serving as Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment. He is a former Secretary to the State Government in Rivers State, a position to which he was appointed in June 2015.and left office 2019.

Otonyetarie Okoye is a Rivers State, Nigerea, lawyer and civil servant. She is currently the Permanent Secretary of the Rivers State Ministry of Agriculture. Okoye was sworn-in at Government House, Port Harcourt on 11 December 2013. Before that, she was the Rivers State Director of Public Prosecutions.
