The Rivers State Ministry of Finance is a government ministry of Rivers State, Nigeria that is charged with the responsibility of handling matters related to the finance administration of the state. The ministry's main goal is implementing government financial policies to ensure maximum productivity and positive impact on the lives of the citizens. [1] Incumbent commissioner of the ministry is Barrister Isaac Kamalu appointed in 2019.

The Rivers State Senior Secondary Schools Board is an agency of the government of Rivers State responsible for the development and management of the state's secondary education system. It is headquartered in Port Harcourt. Its formation was authorized by the Senior Secondary Schools Board Law No.5 of 2012.

Chukwuemeka Woke is a Nigerian engineer and politician of the People's Democratic Party. He has served as chairman of the Emohua local government area of Rivers State. In June 2015, former Governor Ezenwo Wike appointed him to serve as the Chief of Staff of Rivers State Government. He was nominated as a commissioner designate in June 2023. Subsequently, he was sworn in as commissioner for special projects under the administration of Siminalayi Fubara. He resigned on May 9, 2024, and was appointed as the Managing Director/CEO of the Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority. On May 22, 2024, he was re-assigned as Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency, assuming office on June 10, 2024.

The First Wike Executive Council was the Executive Council of Rivers State between 5 June 2015 and 24 June 2017. It was led by Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike with Ipalibo Banigo as Vice-Chairman. The first set of appointments to the cabinet were made on 5 June 2015. The designees included Kenneth Kobani, Chukwuemeka Woke, Emmanuel C. Aguma, Fred Kpakol, Onimim Jacks, Emmanuel Okah and Opunabo Inko-Tariah. Governor Wike appointed Desmond Akawor, Ambassador to South Korea, to serve as Administrator of the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority.

Isaac Kamalu is the Rivers State Commissioner for Finance after taking over from Fred Kpakol in 2019. He was the immediate past Rivers State Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning since December 2015. He is a member of the Rivers State People's Democratic Party.

The 2023 Rivers State gubernatorial election will take place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Rivers State, concurrent with elections to the Rivers State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—will be held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent PDP Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to a third term.
