This is a list of the government ministries of Rivers State, Nigeria. Each ministry is headed by a Commissioner who in most cases is assisted by a Permanent Secretary. The Commissioner is responsible for policy, while the Permanent Secretary provides continuity and is responsible for operations. [1]

The Rivers State Ministry of Environment (RSMENV) is a ministry of the Government of Rivers State established in 2003 to deal with matters relating to the environment. Its functions include formulating, implementing and reviewing of policies on the state's environmental/ecological programs and projects. The mission is generally targeted to ensure a clean and safe environment. The ministry currently has its headquarters at 1st Floor, State Secretariat, Port Harcourt.

The Rivers State Ministry of Agriculture is a ministry of the Government of Rivers State charged with regulation and formulation of policies related to the agricultural sector of the state with aim to secure food, improve the economy of the rural areas and protect the environment. Rivers State is one of the county's leading agricultural-producing states. The ministry is located at 6th Floor, State Secretariat, Port Harcourt.

Ipalibo Gogo Banigo is a Nigerian medical doctor and politician who is the current senator representing Rivers West Senatorial District since 2023. She served as the first female deputy governor of Rivers State from 2015 to 2023.

The Rivers State Ministry of Urban Development is a ministry of the Government of Rivers State entrusted with the task of reviewing and preparing physical development, urban renewal and transportation plans. The ministry is also in charge of urban reorientation and enforcement, regional rural planning, land provision and the approval of building plans. The Ministry is headed by the Commissioner of Urban Development, currently Hon. Chinyere Igwe. The headquarters of the ministry are located in the State Secretariat building, Port Harcourt, Rivers State's capital and largest city.

The Rivers State Ministry of Special Duties is a ministry of the Government of Rivers State, which develops methods for risk reduction and disaster management. To achieve its goal, the ministry outfits the fire service and emergency management departments with a reliable infrastructure. The current incumbent commissioner is Mr. Bariere Thomas.

The Rivers State Ministry of Information and Communications is a ministry within the Government of Rivers State that is entrusted with formulating and implementing strategies to develop and promote the media sector in the state. The ministry is also responsible for the management and dissemination of information on government policies, programmes and activities. The Incumbent commissioner is Paulinus Nsirim.

The Executive Council, also known as the Governor's Cabinet is the highest administrative decision-making authority in Rivers State. It is part of the executive branch which is the most influential branch of the state government. It comprises the governor, deputy governor, Secretary to the State Government, chief of staff, commissioners and special advisers. All of its members excluding the Deputy Governor are appointed by the Governor of Rivers State and confirmed by the House of the Assembly of the state.

Lagos State Government is the government of Lagos State, concerned with the administration of the state ministries. The government consists of the executive, legislative and Judiciary. The government is headed by the Governor who is the policy-maker and often assisted by the commissioners and other civil servants of the state.

The First Wike Executive Council was the Executive Council of Rivers State between 5 June 2015 and 24 June 2017. It was led by Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike with Ipalibo Banigo as Vice-Chairman. The first set of appointments to the cabinet were made on 5 June 2015. The designees included Kenneth Kobani, Chukwuemeka Woke, Emmanuel C. Aguma, Fred Kpakol, Onimim Jacks, Emmanuel Okah and Opunabo Inko-Tariah. Governor Wike appointed Desmond Akawor, Ambassador to South Korea, to serve as Administrator of the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority.

Onimim Ernestina Jacks is a lawyer serving since June 2015 as the Rivers State Commissioner of Agriculture in Nigeria. She is a member of the Rivers State People's Democratic Party.

Ibibia Opuene Walter is a geologist, businessman and politician in Rivers State, Nigeria. From 2004 to 2007, he served as Chairman of Okrika Local Government Council. From 2013 to 2015, he served as Secretary of the Rivers State People's Democratic Party.

Monday Anyamaobi Onyezonwu is a lawyer serving as the current Rivers State Commissioner of Special Duties. He was sworn into the post on 18 December 2015 to replace Dickson Umunakwe.

Bright Onyebuchi Jacob is a Nigerian politician and a former chairman of Oyigbo Local Government Council. He is a member of the Rivers State People's Democratic Party, and is the current Commissioner of Commerce and Industry since December 2015.

Ukel Oyaghiri is a lawyer and politician who has served as the Rivers State Commissioner of Women Affairs since 2015. She replaced Joeba West who had served in the Executive Council under former governor Chibuike Amaechi.

The Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Justice is the Nigerian state government ministry, concerned with the administration of justice. The Ministry is under the coordination of the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, who is often assisted by the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary.

The Cross River State Executive Council is the highest governmental body that plays important roles in the Government of Cross River State, Nigeria, headed by the Governor of Cross River State. The Council consists of the Governor, Deputy Governor, Secretary to the State Government, and Commissioners who are Chief Executive Officers of Ministries in the State.
