Emohua is a town, and the headquarters of Emohua Local Government Area in Rivers State, Nigeria. It comprises eight sub-villages, namely:

The last six are collectively known as Rumuenyi.

The eight villages are usually written with the suffix -Emohua attached, for example Oduoha-Emohua.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ikwerre people</span> Igbo subgroup in Nigeria

The Ikwerre is one of the Igbo subgroups in Rivers State. They are the biggest ethnic group in Rivers state.Traditional history has classified Ikwerre into seven groups called "Ikwerre Essa". They are Elele, Isiokpo, Rumuji, Emohua, Choba, Aluu, Igwuruta and Obio group. This division was recognized by Forde and Jones; (1950) in their ethnographic study of the Igbo speaking peoples of South Eastern Nigeria though has been disputed by indigenous ikwerre people. It was also in line with this grouping those seven customary Courts were established in Ikwerre during the Colonial administration. These Courts were located at Elele, Isiokpo, Umuji, Emohua, Choba, Aluu and Obio in Ikwerreland.

The Ogba people are one of the ethnic groups in Rivers state. The Ogba people speak Ogba an Igboid dialect. The Ogbas reside in a local government called Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni in Rivers state Nigeria. The Ogba language has three dialects namely; Usomini, Igburu, Egi dialect. The Ogba kingdom is made up of three clans which includes; Egi, Igburu, Usomini clans, and its largest urban town is Omoku. Ogba people speak two dialects of the Ogba languages, the Egi and Igburu. Eligbo and Ukporomini are two Ogba communities in Ahaoda East Local Government Area, while Itu II in Emohua LGA also speaks Ogba language.

With about 258,700 People according to 2006 Census, It is bounded by Imo, Delta, Bayelsa, Abia and Anambra states and also by Ahoada West, Ahoada East and Emohua Local Government Areas of Rivers State. Boniface Sunday Emerengwa is a Nigerian lawyer and People's Democratic Party politician. He represents Ikwerre-Emohua constituency in the House of Representatives of Nigeria, a post he was elected to in March 2015. Emerengwa has served as Rivers State Budget and Economic Planning Commissioner. He is also a former Chairman of Ikwerre local government area in the state.

Michael Eleonu Anwuri was the Commissioner of Power in the Executive Council of Rivers State. He was appointed to the position in 2015 by Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike. He died 3 June 2020.

Samuel Ogeh, also known as Sam Ogeh is a state-level politician in Nigeria. He is a member of the Rivers State People's Democratic Party. He was elected as Member of the House of Assembly for the constituency of Emohua in the 2016 rerun election. He defeated APC candidate Chidi Lloyd by a majority of 8,208 votes.

Andrew Igbonule Uchendu is a Nigerian politician. He is currently a member of the Senate of Nigeria representing the Rivers East senatorial district. He had always been a member of the People's Democratic Party until 2014 when he switched allegiance to the All Progressives Congress party.
