Emmanuel Chinwenwo Aguma (died 10 August 2018) [1] was a Nigerian politician and lawyer from Rivers State, a long-term member People's Democratic Party. [2] [3] He was the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in the state. [4] Between 2000 and 2002 Aguma worked as Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association, Port Harcourt Branch, and also chaired the Bar from 2006 to 2008. [5] On 10 July 2015, the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee conferred the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) on him alongside 20 others, to be sworn in on 21 September 2015. [6]

The Attorney General of Rivers State is an appointed official in the executive branch of the Government of Rivers State. The Attorney General is appointed by the Governor, with the consent of the Rivers State House of Assembly. The following is a timeline of the governorship of Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, also known as the Wike administration, from his inauguration as Governor of Rivers State on 29 May 2015 to 29 May 2023.

The First Wike Executive Council was the Executive Council of Rivers State between 5 June 2015 and 24 June 2017. It was led by Governor Ezenwo Nyesom Wike with Ipalibo Banigo as Vice-Chairman. The first set of appointments to the cabinet were made on 5 June 2015. The designees included Kenneth Kobani, Chukwuemeka Woke, Emmanuel C. Aguma, Fred Kpakol, Onimim Jacks, Emmanuel Okah and Opunabo Inko-Tariah. Governor Wike appointed Desmond Akawor, Ambassador to South Korea, to serve as Administrator of the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority.

Port Harcourt Local Government Area (PHALGA) is a local government area of Rivers State in southern Nigeria. It is one of the 23 local government areas created for the state. Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority (GPHCDA) is an agency of the Government of Rivers State, the second largest economy in Nigeria. It was formed under Law No. 2 of 2009 on Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority. It is entrusted with facilitating the execution of the master plan for Greater Port Harcourt. It also has the responsibility to develop the area by putting into practical effect policy measures aimed at promoting and providing effective infrastructures and social services.
