State Route 12 (SR 12) is a generally northeast-southwest route in Ohio. Its western terminus is at SR 115 and SR 189 in Vaughnsville, and its eastern terminus is at SR 53 just south of Fremont.
From Vaughnsville, SR 12 travels northeast through the small towns of Columbus Grove, Pandora, and Benton Ridge before entering Findlay. Through Findlay, it shortly shares a route with US 224. After exiting Findlay, it continues on a northeast heading, passing through Arcadia, Fostoria, and Bettsville before ending at SR 53.
State Route 12's original routing in 1923 had it end in Findlay at its western terminus, and its eastern terminus extended from Fremont on U.S. Route 6's current route, going through Sandusky before ending in Cleveland.
In 1926, its eastern terminus was moved into Sandusky; its route to Cleveland was replaced with State Route 2.
When U.S. Route 6 was certified in 1932, State Route 12 was rerouted through the town of Castalia, ending in Sandusky. On this route, State Route 12 shared a route with State Route 101 from Castalia to Sandusky.
In 1938, State Route 12's western terminus was moved to U.S. Route 30N near Delphos, replacing the remaining section of State Route 106. This terminus was moved to Vaughnsville in 1971, when U.S. Route 30N (the modern routing of U.S. Route 30) moved off the Lincoln Highway.
In 1969, State Route 12's eastern terminus was moved to its current terminus. The section of road between Fremont and State Route 101 that was formerly State Route 12 was recertified as State Route 412. [2] [3]

SR 12 has a corresponding special route, Truck Route 12, that bypasses Findlay. The 7.2-mile-long (11.6 km) truck route begins at State Route 12's interchange with Interstate 75 on the west side of Findlay. It heads north on I-75 to its interchange with Hancock County Road 99, where it exits and moves east along that road, CR 212, and Bright Road. It then moves south along Bright Road to reconnect with SR 12 on the east side of Findlay. [4]
State Route 21 (SR 21) is a north–south state highway in the northeastern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. The southern terminus of SR 21 is north of Strasburg on U.S. Route 250. The northern terminus of SR 21 is at an interchange with Interstate 77 in Cuyahoga Heights.
State Route 2, formerly known as Inter-county Highway 2 until 1921 and State Highway 2 in 1922, is an east–west highway crossing most of northern Ohio. Its western terminus is at the Indiana state line near Hicksville where the route becomes Indiana State Road 37 which continues to Fort Wayne, Indiana. The eastern terminus of the route is in Painesville Township in Lake County at U.S. Route 20 (US 20).
U.S. Route 224 (US 224) is a spur of US 24 that runs through the states of Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania. It currently runs for 289 miles (465 km) from Huntington, Indiana, at US 24 to New Castle, Pennsylvania, at US 422 Business and Pennsylvania Route 18 (PA 18). It goes through the cities of Canfield, Ohio, Akron, Ohio, and Findlay, Ohio. In Northeast Ohio, US 224 is located a short distance north of the Western Reserve's southern boundary.
State Route 25 (SR 25) is an Ohio state route that runs between Cygnet and Toledo in the US state of Ohio. The highway has a total length of 34.98 miles (56.29 km). Some of the highway is listed on the National Highway System and various sections are rural four-lane-lane highways and urbanized four-lane divided highways. SR 25 passes through farmland, commercial and residential properties.
State Route 330 (SR 330) is a north–south state highway in the northwestern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. The southern terminus of SR 330 is at a diamond interchange with the SR 15 expressway just south of the village limits of Vanlue. Its northern terminus is at SR 568 nearly 1.75 miles (2.82 km) north of Vanlue.
State Route 53 is a north–south state highway in the U.S. state of Ohio. Its southern terminus is at the beginning of the U.S. 68/S.R. 67 concurrency in Kenton, Ohio, and its northern terminus is on Catawba Island in Ottawa County, north of Port Clinton.
State Route 412 is an east–west state highway in northern Ohio. The western terminus of State Route 412 is just northeast of Fremont at a diamond interchange with the U.S. Route 20/State Route 19 duplex, which follows the Fremont Bypass at that point. The eastern terminus of the state highway is at a T-intersection with State Route 101 approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) southwest of Castalia.
State Route 113 is an east–west highway in north central and northeastern Ohio. Its western terminus is at SR 269 in Bellevue, where SR 113 is initially concurrent with US 20 and SR 18; its eastern terminus is at the US 6 / SR 2 concurrency in Lakewood. Most of its eastern portion is also in a concurrency with US 20.
State Road 101 in the U.S. state of Indiana is a north–south state highway in the eastern portion of Indiana that exists in four sections with a combined length of 79.42 miles (127.81 km).
State Route 253 (SR 253) is a very short east–west state highway in the southern part of the U.S. state of Ohio. With an overall length of just 0.56 miles (0.90 km), the majority of SR 253 is a part of the Jesse Stuart Memorial Bridge, which crosses over the Ohio River near Franklin Furnace, Ohio. The western terminus of SR 253 is at about the midspan of the bridge, where it crosses the Kentucky State Line and becomes Kentucky Route 10 (KY 10). The eastern terminus of the highway is at a diamond interchange with U.S. Route 52 (US 52) near the eastern landing of the Ohio River crossing. The current SR 253 was established in the late 1980s. However, an earlier version of the highway existed in the Medina vicinity from the early 1920s until the late 1950s.
State Route 101 (SR 101) is a southwest-northeast state highway in the north central portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. Its western terminus is at the junction of SR 18 and SR 53 in Tiffin; it runs concurrently with SR 18 for about one mile (1.6 km). Its eastern terminus is at the junction of U.S. Route 6 (US 6) and SR 4 in Sandusky; it runs concurrently with US 6 for just over one and a half miles (2.4 km) to its western terminus.
State Route 161 is an east–west state highway in central Ohio. Its western terminus is in Mutual at State Route 29 and its eastern terminus is near Alexandria at State Route 37. It is 57.46 miles (92.47 km) long. State Route 161 passes through Columbus, the capital of Ohio, and a variety of towns including Plain City, Dublin, and New Albany.
State Route 31 (SR 31) is a 32.12-mile-long (51.69 km) Ohio State Route that runs between Marysville and Kenton in the US state of Ohio. The southern terminus of SR 31 is at an intersection with SR 38 in downtown Marysville and the northern terminus is at an intersection with U.S. Route 68 (US 68), in downtown Kenton. None of the highway is listed on the National Highway System. Most of the route is a rural two-lane highway and passes through both farmland and residential properties.
State Route 510 is a north–south state highway in the northern portion of Ohio. The entirety of SR 510 lies within Sandusky County. Its southern terminus is at SR 101 in Clyde, and its northern terminus is at U.S. Route 6 (US 6) between Fremont and Sandusky.
State Route 521 is an east–west state highway in central Ohio. Existing entirely within Delaware County, the western terminus of SR 521 is at SR 37 in Delaware. Its eastern terminus is at SR 656 in the hamlet of Olive Green, located approximately five miles (8.0 km) north of Sunbury.
U.S. Route 50 runs east–west across the southern part of the U.S. state of Ohio, passing through Cincinnati, Chillicothe, and Athens. It is mainly a two-lane road except for the easternmost and westernmost parts. Near Athens it becomes part of State Route 32, a four-lane divided highway known as Corridor D, and from Reedsville to the Ohio/West Virginia border it also overlaps State Route 7 before crossing into Parkersburg, West Virginia.
Pennsylvania Route 318 is a 15.9-mile-long (25.6 km) state highway located in Mercer County, Pennsylvania. The western terminus is at the Ohio state line in Shenango Township near West Middlesex where the road continues as Ohio State Route 304. The eastern terminus is at PA 158 in Mercer.
State Route 110 (SR 110) is a 10.73-mile (17.27 km) state route that runs between Napoleon and north of McClure in the US state of Ohio. Most of the route is a rural two-lane highway and passes through both farmland and commercial properties. For much of its path, SR 110 runs generally parallel to the south of the Maumee River.
U.S. Route 30 (US 30) is a United States Numbered Highway that runs from Astoria, Oregon, to Atlantic City, New Jersey. In the US state of Ohio, it is a major, 245-mile-long (394 km), east–west highway that runs through the northern section of Ohio. Overall, the highway runs through rural areas of the state dominated by farm fields or woodlands; some segments are urban in character in the Mansfield and Canton areas.
U.S. Route 6 is a part of the United States Numbered Highway System that runs from Bishop, California to Provincetown, Massachusetts. US 6 is the second longest federal highway in the United States, second only to U.S. Route 20. In Ohio, the road runs west-east from the Indiana state line near Edgerton to the Pennsylvania state line near Andover. The 248.002 miles (399.121 km) that lie in Ohio are maintained by the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). US 6 serves the major cities of Sandusky, Lorain, and Cleveland. The highway is also called the Grand Army of the Republic Highway to honor the Union forces of the American Civil War. The alternate name was designated in 1953.
