Olav Jenssen (born 11 May 1962) is a Norwegian discus thrower.
He was born in Vinje. [1] He finished eleventh at 1981 European Junior Championships and competed at the 1986 European Championships, the 1992 Summer Olympics, the 1995 World Championships, the 1997 World Championships and the 1998 European Championships without reaching the final. [2] He was Norwegian champion in 1987, 1997 and 1998, representing the club IF Urædd except for some seasons in SK Vidar in the mid-1990s. [3] [4]
Andreas Thorkildsen is a retired Norwegian track and field athlete who competed in the javelin throw. He was the Olympic Champion in 2004 and 2008, European Champion in 2006 and 2010, and World Champion in 2009. He is the first male javelin thrower in history to simultaneously be European, World and Olympic Champion. He was also a three-time silver medalist at the World Championships, placing second in 2005, 2007 and 2011. His personal best of 91.59 m, set in 2006, is the Norwegian record.

Karen Fladset is a Norwegian former team handball player and coach. She played for the club IL Vestar and the Norway women's national handball team. With Vestar she became Norwegian Champion both as player and coach, and she was top scorer in the Norwegian league for four seasons. After her playing career she was head coach for the national team for two years, and later coach for various clubs. She was a Norway champion in discus throw three times.

At the age of 19, he won the silver medal at the 2022 World Championships, becoming the youngest world discus medallist in history. Alekna was then the youngest ever winner in his discipline at the 2022 European Championships, setting the competition record in the process.
