Old Fannegusha Creek is a stream in Holmes County the U.S. state of Mississippi. [1] It is a tributary to Tchula Lake.

The stream begins at 33°09′05″N90°15′21″W / 33.15139°N 90.25583°W / 33.15139; -90.25583 just west of Shackleford and the confluence with Tchula Lake is at 33°08′56″N90°17′50″W / 33.14889°N 90.29722°W / 33.14889; -90.29722 . [1] [2]

Fannegusha is a name derived from the Choctaw language purported to mean "tasty squirrel". [3] Variant names for Fannegusha Creek are "Foney Bush Creek", "Funnegusha Creek", and "Funnigusha Creek". [4]
