Oleksa Lozowchuk (born 22 May 1976) is a Canadian composer, music producer and multi-instrumentalist, whose work spans many genres in games, film, television, advertisements, dance, [1] and the concert stage.

Career

In 2003, Oleksa composed and produced a chamber work entitled Bright Sadness, [2] which gained international attention and continues to play globally on classical radio stations to this day. He went on to become the audio and music director at Capcom Vancouver for 7+ years, [3] and is known for his work on the Dead Rising video game series. [4] He was the on-set music director on the 7x Emmy nominated Julie and the Phantoms for Kenny Ortega and Netflix, [5] composed for Disney's series Gabby Duran and the Unsittables, [6] and scored the 2021 remake of the film Under Wraps alongside Jamie Christopherson. [7] He was one of the composers for Horizon Forbidden West, [8] and is currently a co-founder and the creative director at Interleave. [9]

Peter Connelly Video game composer and sound designer

Peter Connelly is a video game composer and sound designer known for his work on the action-adventure Tomb Raider series. He has been part of several video game releases working mainly with Core Design, Eutechnyx and Ubisoft.

Takeshi Abo is a Japanese video game composer. He joined the industry through developer StarCraft, Inc. in the early 1990s, mainly working on conversions of western video games. In the mid-1990s, he joined KID, and later 5pb. in December 2006 after KID declared bankruptcy.

Garry Schyman American composer

Garry Schyman is an American film, television, and video game music composer. He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in music composition in 1978, and began work in the television industry, writing music for such television series as Magnum, P.I. and The A-Team. By 1986, he was composing for movies such as Judgement and Hit List. At the request of a friend in 1993, he composed the music for the video game Voyeur, but after creating the music for two more games he left the industry, citing the low budgets and poor quality of video game music at the time. He continued to compose for film and television, only to return to video games for 2005's Destroy All Humans!. Finding that in his absence the quality and perceived importance of video game music had risen substantially, he has since composed for several games, writing the scores to BioShock and Dante's Inferno among others. <i>Demons Souls</i> 2009 video game

Demon's Souls is an action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware for the PlayStation 3 under the supervision of Japan Studio. It was published in Japan by Sony Computer Entertainment in February 2009, in North America by Atlus USA in October 2009, and in PAL territories by Namco Bandai Partners in June 2010. The game is referred to as a spiritual successor to FromSoftware's King's Field series.

The music for the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV was composed by Nobuo Uematsu, a regular contributor to the music of the Final Fantasy series. Several other composers including Masayoshi Soken and Naoshi Mizuta contributed music for updates to the game. The music for the game's reboot, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, and subsequent expansions, is compiled of a collection of original and remixed songs by numerous composers, namely Uematsu, Soken, as well as others including guest composers such as Okabe of the Neir series. Soken, was the sound director for both releases of the game. Music from both releases of the game has been released in several albums. A pair of mini-albums containing a handful of selected tracks from XIV, Final Fantasy XIV: Battle Tracks and Final Fantasy XIV: Field Tracks, were released by Square Enix in 2010 when XIV first launched. A soundtrack album titled Final Fantasy XIV - Eorzean Frontiers, containing most of the music that had been released by that point for XIV, was digitally released in 2012. A final soundtrack album for the original release of the game, Before Meteor: Final Fantasy XIV Original Soundtrack, was released in 2013 just before the launch of A Realm Reborn, and contains all of the music that was composed for XIV throughout its lifetime. The latest soundtrack album, Shadowbringers: Final Fantasy XIV Original Soundtrack, was released in 2019. Jon Everist is an American composer and audio designer known for his work in video games. He is responsible for the score to BattleTech, which he received an American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers “Composer’s Choice Award” nomination for “Best Video Game Score of 2018” and won honors at the 2019 Jerry Goldsmith Awards for Best Video Game Score. His score for Shadowrun: Hong Kong received favorable reviews, and its predecessor Shadowrun: Dragonfall was named one of PC Gamers “Top 100 PC Games of All Time”. <i>Horizon Forbidden West</i> 2022 video game

Horizon Forbidden West is a 2022 action role-playing game developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. A sequel to 2017's Horizon Zero Dawn, the game is set in a post-apocalyptic version of the Western United States, which has been overrun by a deadly plague. The player can explore the open world and complete quests using ranged and melee against hostile machine creatures.

57th Academy of Country Music Awards

The 57th Academy of Country Music Awards was held on March 7, 2022 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show was hosted by ACM award winner Dolly Parton. Parton was joined by co-hosts, Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett. The ceremony was streamed live on Amazon Prime Video. In the main awards categories Miranda Lambert, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, and Chris Young received the most nominations with four each.
