Olivia Vieweg (born October 3, 1987 in Jena) is a German cartoonist and author, as well as an editor of comic anthologies. She created the comic novels Huck Finn and Antoinette returns.
Vieweg spent her first ten years in a Plattenbau on Bundesautobahn 4. Her first point of contact with the medium of comics is uncertain, but she herself states it may have been the German Donald Duck " Lustiges Taschenbuch " series. More influential for her was Sailor Moon. Her first shorter comic books were written in the manga- influenced so-called "Germangaka" style. [1] As a student in Jena she was already designing posters for the Jenaer Philharmonie. [2] One of her trademark themes, drawing cats, [3] developed during her time studying Visual Communication at the Bauhaus University, Weimar, and these were published in a series of cartoons by Carlsen Verlag. [4] In 2010 she had her first exhibition, together with Katja Klengel, in the City Museum Gera. In 2011 she graduated from the Bauhaus University with the zombie comic Endzeit , [4] subsequently made into a film which has toured arthouse cinemas worldwide.
Vieweg lives in Weimar. She has worked as an illustrator of the children's book series Vampirinternat Schloss Schauerfels and colorist of the comic series Zilverpijl. [4] She also works in advertising. In December 2012, she gave birth to a son. [4] In July 2014, she took over the alternating role of comic strip author in the Sunday Supplement of Der Tagesspiegel. [5] She has a penchant for Persian cats. [4]

Ludwig Kakumei is a Japanese manga series by Kaori Yuki. It debuted in the January 1999 issue of the shōjo manga magazine Melody, before being transferred to Hana to Yume Step, Hana to Yume, and finally Bessatsu Hana to Yume, where it concluded in the September 2007 issue. The sixteen chapters were compiled into four tankōbon by Hakusensha, and were published from June 2004 to December 2007. The series follows Ludwig, a self-centered, flamboyant prince, as he travels with his loyal, soft-hearted valet in search of a bride.

The Grand-Ducal Saxon Art School, Weimar was founded on 1 October 1860, in Weimar, Germany, by a decree of Charles Alexander, Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach. It existed until 1910, when it merged with several other art schools to become the Großherzoglich Sächsische Hochschule für Bildende Kunst. It should not be confused with the Weimar Princely Free Drawing School, which existed from 1776 to 1930 and, after 1860, served as a preparatory school.
Color is a Japanese manga anthology written and illustrated by Taishi Zaou and Eiki Eiki. Color was serialized in Dear+, a magazine known for its romantic and non-explicit boys love manga published by Shinshokan, and a tankōbon collecting the chapters released in February 1999. Color is licensed in North America by Digital Manga Publishing which released the manga in June 2009. It is licensed in France by Asuka and in Germany by Egmont Manga.

Sondermann is a cartoon character of the painter and cartoonist Bernd Pfarr, which appeared, until August 1994, in a column of the same name by the writer Simone Borowiak and, from 1987 to August 2004, regularly in the satirical magazine Titanic. Model for the name was Gerhard Sondermann, the first publisher of Titanic.

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a novel by Mark Twain published on 9 June 1876 about a boy, Tom Sawyer, growing up along the Mississippi River. It is set in the 1840s in the town of St. Petersburg, which is based on Hannibal, Missouri, where Twain lived as a boy. In the novel, Sawyer has several adventures, often with his friend Huckleberry Finn. Originally a commercial failure, the book ended up being the best-selling of Twain's works during his lifetime. Though overshadowed by its 1885 sequel, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, the book is considered by many to be a masterpiece of American literature. It is alleged by Mark Twain to be one of the first novels to be written on a typewriter.

Wir sind des Geyers schwarzer Haufen is an interwar-era German marching song. Composed around the 1920s, the lyrics of the song are sourced from the poem Ich bin der arme Konrad by the Bavarian poet and artillery officer Heinrich von Reder (1824–1909). The melody of the song is arranged by German songwriter and later National Socialist Fritz Sotke (1902–1970) in 1919. As a song about the German Peasants' War, the song lyrics are noted for their strong anti-clerical and anti-noble themes.
