Early life and education

Madein was born on March 7, 1965, in Iperu Remo, Ogun State. Madein obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy at Ogun State Polytechnic, (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta), in 1988. [3] A Postgraduate Diploma and master's in business administration from Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), Ago Iwoye. [4]

In 2020, she completed her doctoral degree in Management Finance from Walden University, Minnesota, United States.

Career

Oluwatoyin Madein began her career as a middle-level officer at the Raw Materials Research and Development Council, ministries including Police Affairs, Commerce and Industry, Works and Housing, Youth and Sports Development, among others.

She was an Executive Officer (Accounts) in the Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation (OPIC), Abeokuta, Ogun State. She was the Director of Finance and Accounts at the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation until her appointment by Muhammadu Buhari.

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic also known as MAPOLY is a tertiary learning institution in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. The Ojere campus is in the South-Eastern part of Abeokuta, covering about 960 hectares of rolling land bounded by the Ogun River to the south. It is named after Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, who was elected President of Nigeria in 1993, but prevented from taking office. Following the death of Chief MKO Abiola, the Polytechnic’s greatest benefactor in 1998, the Institution was renamed Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.

Ibikunle Amosun is a Nigerian politician, former governor of Ogun State and two-term senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He first served as an elected senator for Ogun Central district of Ogun State, Nigeria from June 2003 to June 2007, and reelected in 2019. After an unsuccessful bid for governor of Ogun State in April 2007, he was elected governor of the state on the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) platform in 2011.
