Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye is a state-owned university located in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, Nigeria. The university was founded on 7 July 1982 as Ogun State University (OSU) and was renamed Olabisi Onabanjo University on 29 May 2001, in honour of Olabisi Onabanjo, whose efforts as the then civilian governor of Ogun State gave birth to the university. Many students still refer to the institution as OSU, an acronym for the former name.

The university had a total output of 10,291 graduates and 1,697 postgraduates. [1]

Also, the University provides an opportunity for students to pursue quality education at a low cost, as it charges minimal tuition fees compared to other institutions.

Olabisi Onabanjo University has multiple campuses. The Main Campus in Ago-Iwoye is popularly called Permanent Site (PS) by the students and a Mini Campus which was the home of the Faculty of Science until it was moved to the permanent site in January 2013. The Faculty of Agriculture is in Aiyetoro, the Faculty of Engineering is in Ibogun, the College of Medicine, the faculties of Basic Medical Sciences and Pharmacy are in Shagamu. Students and alumni of the Olabisi Onabanjo University are addressed as ‘Great OOUITES.’

Information and activities amidst Students are communicated through the school's portal as well as notable privately owned magazines/ social media handles such as 'OOU Fola', 'OOU Media' 'OOU Campus Mirror' 'OOU Press Club', 'OOU Update', 'OOU Gazette', 'OOU Premium', 'OOU Parrot', 'Inside OOU magazine', 'OOU Vanguard', 'OOU Voice',‘Omo olabisi’ and a few others.

The mini campus OOU, Centre for Continuous Education (CCED) is now the pre-degree studies unit, Diploma and Jupeb while the main campus is the heart of undergraduate programs.

Ayetoro is a town in Nigeria. It lies on the latitude 70 12’N and longitude 30 3’ E in a deciduous- derived savannah zone of Ogun State. The climate is sub-humid tropical with a longtime average annual rainfall of 1,909.30mm. Ayetoro is about 35 km northwest of Abeokuta, a town in south-west part of Nigeria and the capital of Ogun State. The town is the administrative seat/headquarters of Yewa North Local Government Area. It is connected to Lagos by road and rail and serves as the shipping centre for an area in which cocoa, cassava, cowpea and maize are produced.

Diamond 101.1 FM is the community radio station of the University of Ibadan in Nigeria. The station was officially launched on 30 October 2008, on Thursday, by the executive governor of Niger State, Dr. Mu'azu Babangida Alliu, as part of activities marking the 60th anniversary of the university.

Moshood Abiola Polytechnic also known as MAPOLY is a tertiary learning institution in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. The Ojere campus is in the South-Eastern part of Abeokuta, covering about 960 hectares of rolling land bounded by the Ogun River to the south. It is named after Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, who was elected President of Nigeria in 1993, but prevented from taking office. Following the death of Chief MKO Abiola, the Polytechnic’s greatest benefactor in 1998, the Institution was renamed Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.

Niger Delta University (NDU) is in Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State in the southern part of Nigeria. It was established in 2000. It is a Bayelsa state government-funded university. It has two main campuses, one in the state capital, Yenagoa, which contains the law faculty, and the other in Amassoma. Gabriel Babatunde Ogunmola is a Nigerian Professor of Chemistry and Chancellor of Lead City University, Ibadan.

Sheriffdeen Adewale Tella is a Nigerian academic economist and professor of economics at the Olabisi Onabanjo University - and is also a frequent economic commentator in the Nigerian daily newspapers.

Ganiyu Olatunji Olatunde was the immediate past vice chancellor of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye Ogun State. His tenure started in May 2017 and ended on October, 2022. Professor Agboola Ayodeji Johnson succeeded Professor Ganiyu Olatunji Olatunde as the new chancellor of Olabisi Onabanjo University.
