Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru is a Nigerian tertiary institution in Zuru, Kebbi state ran fully by the Federal Government of Nigeria. [1] [2] [3]

History

Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru was established first as College of Agriculture, Zuru. The college was previously affiliated with Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. After the establishment of the National Board for Technical Education (N.B.T.E) in 1977 by the Federal Government to regulate Technical Education in the country, the NBTE assumed the supervision and accreditation of the college programmes. In 2019, a bill was proposed by Senator Barau Jibrin. On 21 April 2019, the bill was read the third time and passed. The new university began its operation in September 2020. [1] [4] In April 2020, President Mohammed Buhari appointed Musa Isiyaku Ahmed as the Vice-Chancellor [5] [6] and in 2021, Eze Eberechi N. Dick became the first chancellor. Prior to that, Bello Zaki was the interim Vice-Chancellor. [7] [8]

Library

The University Library support teaching, Learning and research to meet the objectives of the university. The E- Library has millions of online data bases, e- journals in JSTOR, ScienceDirect. [9] The Library is automated with computers for easy accessibility to information resources. [9]

Ambrose Alli University (AAU) is a state-owned university in Edo State, Nigeria. It was established in 1981 by the governor of Bendel State, Ambrose Folorunsho Alli. The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) is a public research university located in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. It was opened in 1962 as the University of Northern Nigeria. The university has four colleges, three schools, 18 faculties, 110 academic departments, 17 centres, and seven institutes with over 600 professors, about 3000 academic staff and over 7000 non-teaching staff. The university has over 400 postgraduate programmes reflecting its strife to become a postgraduate studies-centred university. The university operates from two campuses in the ancient cosmopolitan city of Zaria, the Samaru Campus where the Senate Building and most of the faculties are located and the Kongo Campus, hosting the faculties of Law and Administration. The Federal University Wukari was established in 2011 by the federal government of Nigeria led by the then President, Goodluck Jonathan, the school was established as one of the nine schools established at the time. Federal University Wukari is located in the town called Wukari in Taraba State, Nigeria.

Eze Eberechi N. Dick is a Nigerian monarch. He is the Eze Udo I of Mgboko Ngwa Amaise Kingdom in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State. He served as Chairman of Abia State Traditional Rulers Council from 2013 to 2019 and Chairman South-East Council of Traditional Rulers from 2015 to 2020. He served as the chancellor Federal University of Technology, Minna from 2018 to 2021 and currently the chancellor of Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru.

Musa Isiyaku Ahmed is a Nigerian academic. He is the first and current vice-chancellor of Federal University of Agriculture, Zuru in Kebbi State. Prof. Ahmed is Fellow College of Veterinary Surgeons Nigeria, Fellow Institute of Human and Natural Resources, Affiliate member Computer Professional Council (CPN), Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and member, Academia in Information Technology Professionals (AITP). Prof Ahmed hails from Borno State in Nigeria. He was formerly Professor in the Department of Veterinary, Parasitology and Entomology at the University of Maiduguri in Borno State.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mohammed Bello-Koko</span> Nigerian banker (born 1969)

Mohammed Bello-Koko is a Nigerian banker and former Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports a position he assumed on 22 February 2022. Before his appointment as substantive managing director, Bello-Koko was on 6 May 2021, made the acting managing director of NPA when Hadiza Bala Usman was directed to handover to the most senior executive director after she was suspended for insubordination. Prior to the appointment as acting MD, Bello-Koko was the executive director, Finance & Administration of the Authority.

Bello Bala Shehu is a Nigerian academician and neurosurgeon. He was appointed as the vice chancellor of The Federal University Birnin-Kebbi (FUBK) in 2017 and previously served as the provost of the university's College of Health Sciences.
