Osun State University (UNIOSUN) is a multi-campus university in Nigeria, established by Osun State Government under the administration of Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola. The University currently operates six campuses distributed across the six administrative zones of the state. [1]
Nigeria's National Universities Commission approved Osun State University on 21 December 2006, as the 30th State University and the 80th in the Nigerian university system. It has its campuses in Osogbo, Ikire, Okuku, Ifetedo, Ipetu Ijesha and Ejigbo, which serves as campuses for Health science, Humanities and Culture, Social science and Management, Law, Education and Agriculture respectively.
Osun State University had its first convocation ceremony in 2011, under the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola. The University had a reputation of not being involved in the Nationwide ASUU [2] strike, until the 2013 ASUU strike which lasted for over five months. The university also has a reputation as one of the fastest growing universities in Nigeria, based on the quick academic calendar the school operates.[ clarification needed ]

Osogbo is a city in Nigeria. It became the capital city of Osun State in 1991. Osogbo city seats the Headquarters of both Osogbo Local Government Area and Olorunda Local Government Area. It is some 88 kilometers by road northeast of Ibadan. It is also 108 kilometres (67 mi) by road south of Ilorin and 108 kilometres (67 mi) northwest of Akure. Osogbo shares boundaries with Ikirun, Ilesa, Ede, Egbedore, Ogbomosho and Iragbiji and it is easily accessible from any part of the state because of its central nature. It is about 48 km from Ife, 32 km from Ilesa, 46 km from Iwo, 48 km from Ikire and 46 km from Ila-Orangun; the city had a population of about 200,000 people and an approximate land area of 126 km. The postal code of the area is 230.
Osun, is a state in southwestern Nigeria; bounded to the east by Ekiti and Ondo states for 84 km and for 78 km respectively, to the north by Kwara State for 73 km, to the south by Ogun State for 84 km and to the west by Oyo State, mostly across the River Osun. Named for the River Osun—a vital river which flows through the state—the state was formed from the southeast of Oyo State on 27 August 1991 and has its capital as the city of Osogbo.
Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, fondly called UNIZIK, is a federal university in Nigeria. It consists of two campuses in Anambra State. Its main campus is in Awka, while its other campus is in Nnewi. There are also other campuses of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. These include Agulu in Anaocha local government area and Ifite-Ogwuari in Ayamelum local government area in Anambra State. This makes Nnamdi Azikiwe University to operate in the three Senatorial Districts in Anambra State, Nigeria having Awka campus, in Anambra Central Senatorial District, Nnewi in Anambra South Senatorial District and Ifite-Ogwuari in Anambra North Senatorial District, respectively.
Prince Abubakar Audu University, located at Anyigba, is a state-owned university of Kogi, Nigeria. It was established in 1999 by Prince Abubakar Audu, a former governor of the state. At the time of its establishment, it was known as Kogi State University, It was later renamed Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU) in 2020, after the then sitting governor of Kogi State, who heralded its establishment, and later renamed Kogi State University (KSU) in 2003 by the former governor Ibrahim Idris and subsequently renamed as Prince Abubakar Audu University in 2020 by Governor Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello in respect of late Abubakar Audu.

University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), is a federal government-owned public research university in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. The university's main campus sits on an expansive area of land, about 15,000 hectares in the ancient city of Ilorin; making it the largest university in Nigeria and one of the largest in Africa by landmass. The university comprises 16 faculties and over 100 academic departments offering 103 programmes. It was established by a decree of the Federal Military Government of Nigeria in August, 1975. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) is a Nigerian union of university academic staff, founded in 1978. ASUU is an offshoot of the Nigerian Association of University Teachers (NAUT) which was established in 1965. He holds bachelor, master and doctoral degrees in each of political science and law. He was a Member of the House of Representatives, June 2015 - June 2019, to represent Ede Federal constituency Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore and Ejigbo L.Gs on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He is at present a Professor in the Department of Public and International Law and holds a concurrent chair as Professor of Political Science, both at the Osun State University, Nigeria. He is also the Provost of the College of Law
Ganiyu Olatunji Olatunde was the immediate past vice chancellor of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye Ogun State. His tenure started in May 2017 and ended in October 2022. Professor Ayodeji Agboola succeeded Professor Ganiyu Olatunji Olatunde as the new chancellor of Olabisi Onabanjo University.
