Crescent University is located in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.^[1] It is a private university established by Judge Bola Ajibola under the banner of the Islamic Mission for Africa.^[2]^[3] It has the following colleges; The Bola Ajibola College of Law, The College of Environmental Sciences, The College of Information and Communication Technology, The College of Natural and Applied Sciences, The College of Arts, Social and Management Sciences and The College of Health Sciences.

History

In 2002, the Educational Board of the Islamic Mission for Africa (IMA) recommended the establishment of Crescent University, Abeokuta. The National Universities Commission approved the establishment of the university in 2005. The University commenced its academic program in December 2005.

Library

The University Library is also known as Alhaja Seliat Adebutu Library which was named after the mother of a philanthropist Chief Kesington Adebutu who built and donated the library in remembrance of his mother.

Through its graduate network, the University of Ibadan has contributed to the political, industrial, economic and cultural development of Nigeria.

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) is a tertiary institution located in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. The university enrolls over 30,000 students and employs more than 3,000 workers including contract staff.

Abeokuta is the capital city of Ogun State in southwest Nigeria. Prince Bolasodun Adesumbo "Bola" Ajibola, SAN, KBE, CFR was a Nigerian jurist, who was the attorney general and the minister of justice of Nigeria from 1985 to 1991 and a judge of the International Court of Justice from 1991 to 1994. He was president of the Nigerian Bar Association from 1984 to 1985. He was also one of five commissioners on the Eritrea-Ethiopia Boundary Commission, organized through the Permanent Court of Arbitration. In 1979, he founded The Nigeria Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) as the premier arbitration institute in Nigeria and it was duly incorporated in 1988 under the Companies Act as a legal entity Limited by Guarantee.

Ajayi Crowther University also known as ACU is a private faith-based University located in Oyo State, Nigeria.

Covenant University(CU) is a private Christian university in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. It is affiliated with Living Faith Church Worldwide and is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, Association of African Universities, and National Universities Commission. In 2019, Covenant University became the first Nigerian university to be ranked in the top 401-500 category of world universities by Times Higher Education.

Baptist Boys’ High School is a Baptist secondary school in Abeokuta, Ogun State, south-west Nigeria. It had a student body of 2,000 students as of the 2022–2023 academic year. The student population has decreased by almost half from the peak of 2155 in 1998–1999 academic year, partly in response to a concern about overcrowded facilities. BBHS is on its permanent site, Oke-Saje. It is affiliated with the Nigerian Baptist Convention.

The Federal University Otuoke is a Federal Government-owned University sited in Otuoke, a town in Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa State, Southern Nigeria. The university is one of the nine new Federal Universities established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in February 2011 under the administration of president, Dr Goodluck Jonathan. Federal University Otuoke is sited in the heart of the oil-rich Niger-Delta Region of Bayelsa State. The university was established in 2011 and started with 282 pioneer students. The Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library is a library owned by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, a former President of Nigeria. It is a historic, tourist and academic centre established as a national archive for the preservation of documents and materials used by the president during his tenure as the president of Nigeria. The library is located at Oke Mosan Abeokuta, Ogun State in Nigeria.

Chrisland University is located in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. It was founded in 2015 and is accredited by the National Universities Commission.
