Omlo is a heart-wrenching narrative that revolves around a 7-year-old boy and a camel, who are individually going through the same circumstances in life which is “helplessness”. As the boy experiences fear and trauma within a troubled and abusive household. The film shows how these patterns have been passed down from his father and grandfather. It highlights the silent suffering of women in a patriarchal system and the hope that the next generation might finally break the cycle of violence. [5]
The film was sold at the Cannes Film Market in May 2025 and has been noted for its emotionally resonant storytelling and realistic cinematic style. [6]
