El Mirador is a large pre-Columbian Maya settlement, located in the north of the modern department of El Petén, Guatemala.
Haría is a municipality on the island of Lanzarote in the Canary Islands, the northernmost and easternmost Canarian municipality. Surrounded on three sides by the Atlantic Ocean, the municipality is bordered to the south by the municipality of Teguise. It forms part of Las Palmas Province. The seat of the municipality is the town of Haría. The population of the municipality was 4,872 in 2013. The total land area of the municipality is 106.59 square kilometres (41.15 sq mi).
Nakbe is one of the largest early Maya archaeological sites. Nakbe is located in the Mirador Basin, in the Petén region of Guatemala, approximately 13 kilometers south of the largest Maya city of El Mirador. Excavations at Nakbe suggest that habitation began at the site during the Early Formative period and continued to be a large site until its collapse during the Terminal Formative period. The fall of Nakbe and El Mirador took place at roughly the same time.

Mirador de la Flor also known as Selena's seawall is a monument in Corpus Christi, Texas that was unveiled in 1997 to honor Selena, the Tejano singer who was murdered by her assistant and head of her fan club Yolanda Saldívar, two years earlier at the age of 23. People from around the world visit the site, which is located only a few miles north of Seaside Memorial Park where Selena is buried. It is located at the corner of Peoples Street T-Head and Shoreline Boulevard and consists of a 5'8" life-sized bronze statue of Selena wearing a leather jacket with microphone in hand, sculpted by H.W. "Buddy" Tatum, a Corpus Christi artist. She is leaning against a concrete pillar looking towards the Corpus Christi Bay. About 30,000 people visit this monument every year.

Eight U-23 teams competed, with Mexico defending its title. The South American teams played with their U-20 teams. For the second time the women's tournament was included in the Pan Am Games.

El Tintal is a Maya archaeological site in the northern Petén region of Guatemala, about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northeast of the modern-day settlement of Carmelita, with settlement dating to the Preclassic and Classic periods. It is close to the better known sites of El Mirador, to which it was linked by causeway, and Nakbé. El Tintal is a sizeable site that includes some very large structures and it is one of the four largest sites in the northern Petén; it is the second largest site in the Mirador Basin, after El Mirador itself. El Tintal features monumental architecture dating to the Middle Preclassic similar to that found at El Mirador, Nakbé and Wakna. Potsherds recovered from the site date to the Late Preclassic and Early Classic periods, and construction continued at the site in the Late Classic period.

The stadium with a capacity for 7,200 spectators, and measuring 105 by 68 metres, is a modern sports complex located in the industrial area of La Menacha, and also houses the offices of the club. The new stadium was inaugurated in 1999, replacing an earlier stadium which was used from 1954 until 1999.
