Don "Red" Barry American actor (1912–1980)

Donald Barry de Acosta, also known as Red Barry and Milton Poimboeuf, was an American film and television actor. He was nicknamed "Red" after appearing as the first Red Ryder in the highly successful 1940 film Adventures of Red Ryder with Noah Beery Sr.; the character was played in later films by "Wild Bill" Elliott and Allan Lane. Barry went on to bigger budget films following Red Ryder, but none reached his previous level of success. He played Red Doyle in the 1964 Perry Mason episode 'The Case of the Simple Simon'.

Don Taylor (American filmmaker) American actor and director

Donald Richie Taylor was an American actor and film director. He co-starred in 1940s and 1950s classics, including the 1948 film noir The Naked City, Battleground, Father of the Bride, Father's Little Dividend and Stalag 17. He later turned to directing films such as Escape from the Planet of the Apes (1971), Tom Sawyer (1973), Echoes of a Summer (1976) and Damien: Omen II (1978).

Crime Does Not Pay was an MGM anthology crime film series of shorts that ran from 1935-1947. Each episode was around 20 minutes in length and composer-conductor John Gart provided the music. It later spawned a radio series of the same name.
