One More Night is the re-issue of the 1994 final studio album All You Need Is Luv' by Dutch girl group Luv' released in 1995 by Rondo Music / Pink Records. The pop formation briefly reached fame in the late 1970s and early 1980s in Benelux, German speaking countries, Denmark, South Africa, Mexico and New Zealand.

A girl group is a music act featuring several female singers who generally harmonize together. The term "girl group" is also used in a narrower sense in the United States to denote the wave of American female pop music singing groups, many of whom were influenced by doo-wop and which flourished in the late 1950s and early 1960s between the decline of early rock and roll and start of the British Invasion. All-female bands, in which members also play instruments, are usually considered a separate phenomenon. These groups are sometimes called "girl bands" to differentiate, although this terminology is not universally followed.

Luv Dutch female pop trio

Luv' are a Dutch girl group that scored a string of hit records in Continental Europe as well as South Africa, Rhodesia, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Mexico in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The original members were Patty Brard, José Hoebee and Marga Scheide. In 1979, Luv' was 'Holland's best export act' and thus received the 'Conamus Export Prize'.

Album history

In 1993, the original Luv' members reunited. They took advantage of the Disco/pop nostalgia of the 1970s as they were inspired by the success of ABBA and Boney M. compilations. Their 1993 greatest hits album Luv' Gold (which included their greatest hit singles) sold honorably in the Netherlands and Flanders (Belgium). In early 1994, they recorded a dance-pop album All You Need Is Luv' under the guidance of producers Piet Souer and Martin Duiser. This opus had a limited distribution as it was only available in Kruidvat stores in the Netherlands. One year later, it was re-issued by another label (Rondo Music/Pink Records). Soon after, the female pop act disbanded and would reunite later in the mid 2000s.

ABBA Swedish pop group

ABBA are a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The group's name is an acronym of the first letters of their first names. They became one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of popular music, topping the charts worldwide from 1974 to 1982. ABBA won the Eurovision Song Contest 1974 at The Dome in Brighton, UK, giving Sweden its first triumph in the contest. They are the most successful group to have taken part in the competition.

Pieter Cornelis "Piet" Souer is a Dutch record producer, songwriter and arranger. His collaboration with acts made him gain twenty two gold and platinum records', one Conamus Export Prize and one 'Outstanding Song Award', thanks to his composition "Too Young To Know", performed by Anita Meyer at World Popular Song Festival in Japan in 1981.

Luv'

José Hoebee Dutch female singer

Josina van de Wijdeven, known as José Hoebee, is a Dutch pop singer. She is a member of Luv', a famous Dutch girl group in the late 1970s and early 1980s that scored hits in more than 15 countries. In late 1981, she went solo and was successful in her homeland and in the Flanders region of Belgium between 1982 and 1985. She formed an occasional duo known as Bonnie & José with Bonnie St. Claire to record Dutch cover versions of ABBA's songs. She currently performs solo and with Luv'.

Marga Scheide Dutch singer

Margareth "Marga" Scheide is a Dutch singer and former model. She is a member of the girl group Luv'. Alongside Patty Brard and José Hoebee, she scored a string of international hit songs such as "You're the Greatest Lover", "Trojan Horse", "Casanova" and "Ooh, Yes I Do". She was the only Luv' singer to be involved in all the incarnations of the group.
