One Seagrove Place is a high-rise condominium located in Seagrove Beach, Florida. It was constructed in 1985 and is the tallest building in South Walton County.

History

Groundbreaking took place on April 12, 1984. Multiple groups partnered to construct and design the building. It was completed in 1985 with 21 stories. With a cost of between $7–10 million it stands at 236 feet (72 m). [2] It is located between the coast of Seagrove Beach and Highway 30A. [3]

It is located along Florida State Road 30A, east of Seaside and west of WaterSound. Seagrove Beach is recognized locally as an independent neighborhood, but its mailing address is Santa Rosa Beach. Like other communities along 30A and Florida's Emerald Coast, Seagrove Beach is known for its scenic and appealing "sugar white" beaches and blue/green waters. There are 20 public beach accesses available for use in Seagrove Beach. One Seagrove Place is the tallest and one of the oldest condominiums in the area. According to the Visit South Walton website, Seagrove Beach is "laid back, but luxurious" and home to upscale boutiques, casual cafes, a state park, and rare coastal dune lakes.

The Plaza, is a twin-tower condominium property located along the Intracoastal Waterway in West Palm Beach, Florida. The property was developed by Robert Armour and Michael Guider through their company, Armour Guider Development Corporation. Construction of the project, originally known as The Plaza, began in 1981. After several construction delays, The Plaza opened in October 1985, although Robert Armour had only minimal success in selling the condominium units.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Surfside condominium collapse</span> 2021 building collapse near Miami, Florida, US

On June 24, 2021, at approximately 1:22 a.m. EDT, Champlain Towers South, a 12-story beachfront condominium in the Miami suburb of Surfside, Florida, United States, partially collapsed, causing the deaths of 98 people. Four people were rescued from the rubble, but one died of injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital. Eleven others were injured. Approximately thirty-five were rescued the same day from the un-collapsed portion of the building, which was demolished ten days later.
