Mmaneo Onicca Moloi (born 1979/1980) is a South African politician and businesswoman who represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature from 2014 to 2019. She was also Limpopo's Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Sports,Arts and Culture from September 2016 until July 2018,when she made a forthright Facebook post and resigned. A trained chef,she rose to political prominence through the Limpopo branch of the ANC Youth League.
Moloi was born in 1979 or 1980 [1] [2] and has an undergraduate degree in political science. [3] She became politically active as a member of the South African Students Congress (SASCO) and was Provincial Treasurer of SASCO's Limpopo branch from 2001 to 2002. She was first elected to the Provincial Executive Committee of the ANCYL in Limpopo in 2003. [3] In the same year,she began work as a researcher in the Office of the ANC Chief Whip in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature. [3] She also worked as a professional chef. [3] [4]
In the 2014 general election,she was elected to the provincial legislature,ranked 19th on the ANC's provincial party list. [5] She was viewed as a possible candidate for election as Provincial Chairperson of the ANCYL in Limpopo, [2] but she ultimately did not seek election to that position. On 15 September 2016,Stan Mathabatha,then the Premier of Limpopo,announced a reshuffle of the Limpopo Executive Council in which Moloi was appointed MEC for Sports,Arts and Culture. [6] According to Moloi,she was Limpopo's youngest MEC at that time. [3] During her tenure in the office,Moloi clashed with fellow ANCYL activist Che Selane,who accused Moloi of allowing her department to award a state contract to a company owned by her husband;Moloi said that the allegation was defamatory and threatened to sue Selane. [7]
At a party elective conference in June 2018,Moloi campaigned to succeed Basikopo Makamu as Deputy Provincial Secretary of the Limpopo ANC. However,she was defeated by Makamu and,at the same conference,failed to gain election to the ANC's Provincial Executive Committee; [8] [9] the Zoutpansberger reported that Moloi,after losing the Deputy Provincial Secretary contest,had declined her nomination to run for election to the committee. [10] Shortly after the elective conference,on 2 July 2018,Moloi made a controversial post on Facebook,addressed to the "Masana bishops" in what eNCA reported was an allusion to a lodge frequented by provincial party leaders. [8] The post read:
Dear Masana bishops... Don't worry,we will send our resignation letters and hand over your so-called 'blue lights' [VIP protection motorcade] by Friday to make your job easy. We didn't join the ANC for blue lights... yours Onicca Moloi. [11]
In a subsequent comment,Moloi wrote:
He he he... Thina [us/we] we know our sins. We refused to be summoned to late meetings. We refused to be told what to write on Facebook,who to greet,which party to go to and what should be our views on the regional politics of Peter Mokaba [party branch in Capricorn District]. [11]
ANC Provincial Secretary Soviet Lekganyane condemned the posts,saying they amounted to Moloi "throwing a gobble of mucus at the ANC". [11] Her posts were construed as an informal resignation,and the following day Premier Mathabatha confirmed that he had accepted Moloi's resignation,effective immediately. [11] Later in July,Thandi Moraka replaced her as MEC. [9] Moloi said that she would remain an ordinary Member of the Provincial Legislature and a member of the ANC but wished to focus on her postgraduate education and her career as a chef. [1] She vacated her legislative seat in the 2019 general election,when she stood for election to the national Parliament. However,she was ranked 184th on the ANC's party list and did not secure election to a seat. [5] As of 2021,she was working as a chef and nutritionist. [12]
Moloi has three children,two sons and one daughter. She had her first child at age 17. [4] In 2007,she married Kabelo Moloi. [13]
Mavhungu Maureen Lerule-Ramakhanya is a South African politician. A member of the African National Congress,Lerule-Ramakhanya is a former mayor of the Vhembe District Municipality. She was elected as a Member of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature in May 2019. She was then elected as the speaker of the legislature. In March 2020,Lerule-Ramakhanya was appointed as the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Transport and Community Safety. She was moved to the Education portfolio of the executive council in June 2022.
Chritian Nkakareng Rakgoale is a South African politician. As of June 2022,she has been the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Public Works,Roads and Infrastructure in the Limpopo provincial government. She previously served as the MEC for Social Development from May 2019 to June 2022. Rakgoale was elected to the Limpopo Provincial Legislature in May 2019. Before that,she served as the Executive Mayor of the Mopani District Municipality. Rakgoale is a member of the African National Congress.
Fulufhelo Florence Radzilani is a South African politician who is currently serving as Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Transport and Community Safety in Limpopo province. She was formerly the executive mayor of Vhembe District Municipality from 2011 to 2012 and from 2016 to 2018. She resigned as mayor in December 2018 after being implicated in the corruption scandal at VBS Mutual Bank.

The Members of the Executive Council (MECs) are appointed from among the members of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature by the Premier of Limpopo,an office held since July 2013 by Stan Mathabatha.
Thandi Moraka is a South African politician who is currently serving as a Member of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature. She was Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Sports,Arts and Culture in the Limpopo provincial government between July 2018 and October 2022. She is a member of the African National Congress (ANC) and in 2022 was elected to a five-year term on the party's National Executive Committee. She formerly served as Deputy Secretary-General of the ANC Youth League from 2015 to 2019 and as a member of the Limpopo ANC's Provincial Executive Committee from 2018 to 2022.
Rodgers Basikopo Makamu is a South African politician who is currently serving as Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Cooperative Governance,Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs in the Limpopo provincial government. He was formerly MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development between 2018 and 2019. A teacher by training and a member of the African National Congress (ANC),Makamu was elected to a second term as Deputy Provincial Secretary of the ANC's Limpopo branch in June 2022.

Nakedi Sibanda-Kekana is a South African politician who is currently serving as Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Sports,Arts and Culture in the Limpopo provincial government. She was appointed to that position in October 2022,shortly after she was elected Provincial Treasurer of the Limpopo branch of her political party,the African National Congress (ANC). She was first elected as a Member of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature in the 2019 general election and before that was Mayor of Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality from August 2016 until December 2018,when the ANC asked her to resign during the corruption scandal at VBS Mutual Bank.
Selelo Donald Selamolela is a South African politician who is currently serving as a Member of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature. In December 2022,he was elected to a five-year term on the National Executive Committee of the African National Congress (ANC),and he was formerly the spokesperson of the ANC's Limpopo branch from 2018 to 2022.
Makoma Grace Makhurupetje is a South African politician who has represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature since 2014. She formerly served as Limpopo's Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Transport and Community Safety from 2017 to 2019 and as MEC for Cooperative Governance,Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs from 2014 to 2017. From 2014 to 2018,she was the Deputy Provincial Secretary of the ANC's Limpopo branch.

She formerly served as a Member of the Executive Council (MEC) in Limpopo from 2014 to 2019,during the first full term of Premier Stan Mathabatha. She was MEC for Social Development from 2017 to 2019,MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development from 2016 to 2017,and MEC for Transport,Safety and Liaison from 2014 to 2016. She was also elected to four-year terms on the Limpopo ANC's Provincial Executive Committee in 2018 and 2022.
Bertha Amanda Joyce Matshoge,commonly known as Joy Matshoge,was a South African politician who served as Limpopo's Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Agriculture and Rural Development from May 2014 until her death in June 2016. Before that,from 2013 to 2014,she was the Deputy Speaker of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature,where she had represented the African National Congress (ANC) since 2008. At the time of her death,she was also the Provincial Chairperson of the ANC Women's League in Limpopo,a position to which she had been elected in September 2015.
Jacob Boy Otto Marule is a South African politician who has represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature since 2019. During an earlier period of service in the provincial legislature,he was Limpopo's Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Agriculture from March 2012 until July 2013. A former member of Umkhonto weSizwe (MK),he is active in the ANC Veterans' League.

He rose to prominence as the Provincial Chairperson of the Limpopo branch of the ANC Youth League,although he was expelled from the league in July 2010 after falling out with league president Julius Malema.
Robert William Noel Tooley is a South African politician and public servant who served as Limpopo's Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Treasury from 2015 to 2019 under Premier Stan Mathabatha. He represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature from 1994 to 2007 and later from 2014 to 2019.
Wisani Goodman Mitileni,sometimes also spelled Mtileni,is a South African politician who represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature from 2014 to 2021. He resigned from the legislature after being elected Regional Secretary of the ANC's Mopani branch in June 2021. Less than a year later,in March 2022,he was elected as Provincial Chairperson of the Limpopo branch of the South African Communist Party (SACP).
