Onward to Olympas was an American metalcore band from Salisbury, North Carolina. The band started making music in 2005, and disbanded in 2013. Their membership was vocalists, Chris Davis and Kramer Lowe, guitarists and vocalist, Andy Simmons, Justin Gage, and Kyle Phillips, drummer and vocalist, Mark Hudson, guitarist, Andrew Higginbotham, bass guitarist, Justin Allman, and drummers, Matt Burnside, Nick Helvey. [1] The band released one independently made album, The End of the Beginning, in 2007, and their lone extended play, Victory at All Costs, in 2008. Their first studio album, This World Is Not My Home , was released by Facedown Records, in 2010. The subsequent studio album, The War within Us , was released by Facedown Records, in 2011. They released, Indicator, with Facedown Records, in 2012, and this was their third and final studio album.

Background

Onward to Olympas was a Christian hardcore and Christian metal band from Salisbury, North Carolina. [2] [3] Their members were vocalists, Chris Davis and Kramer Lowe, guitarists and vocalist, Andy Simmons, Justin Gage, and Kyle Phillips, drummer and vocalist, Mark Hudson, guitarist, Andrew Higginbotham, bass guitarist, Justin Allman, and drummers, Matt Burnside, and Nick Helvey. [3] [4] [5] The band announced on their Facebook page, that the original line-up would reunite to play their debut studio album, This World Is Not My Home , all the way through on September 3, 2015 for it being five-years-old. [6]

Music history

The band commenced as a musical entity in 2005, with their first release, The End of the Beginning, an album that was released independently in 2007. [3] They released an extended play, Victory at All Costs, in 2008, also independently. [3] Their first studio album, This World Is Not My Home , was released by Facedown Records on January 19, 2010. [3] [7] The subsequent studio album, The War within Us , was released by Facedown Records on March 15, 2011. [3] [7] They released, Indicator, another studio album, with Facedown Records on October 9, 2012. [3] [7] This was their final release, as they disbanded on March 29, 2014. [8]

Facedown Records has released the other albums from the band signed the band. The Burial are an American Christian metalcore/melodic death metal band. Members are from South Bend, Indiana, Benton Harbor, Michigan and Champaign, Illinois. The band started making music in 2005. The band now consists of lead vocalist and guitarist, Elisha Mullins, lead guitarist, Todd Hatfield, drummer, Kaleb Luebchow, and bass guitarist, Alex Poole. The band released one EP, Age of Deceit, in 2009 with Sancrosanct Records. They signed with Strike First Records, where they released, The Winepress, a studio album, in 2010. Their second album, Lights and Perfections, released by Facedown Records in 2012. The subsequent album released by Facedown Records, In the Taking of Flesh, was released in 2013.

Leaders were an American Christian metal band from Hollister, California. The band started making music in 2011, with members, lead vocalist, Lazarus Rios, lead guitarist, Alfredo Tovar, bass guitarist, JC Villareal, and drummer, Elijah Martinez. They signed with Facedown Records, where they released, Now We Are Free, a studio album, in 2012. Their second album, Indomitable, released by Facedown Records in 2013. Leaders disbanded on June 27, 2015.

Attalus is an American Christian rock band from Raleigh, North Carolina. The band started making music in 2010, with members, lead vocalist and keyboardist, Seth Davey, guitarist and background vocalist, Evan King, drummer, Adam King, bassist and background vocalist, Chris Sierra, and guitarist, John Sierra. The band released one extended play, The Greater Tide, independently, in 2010. Their next release, an album, Post Tenebras Lux, was released independently, in 2011. They released, another extended play, Brighter Side, in 2012. The subsequent album, also released independently, Gospel Hymns, Vol. 1, came out in 2013. They signed with Facedown Records, where they released, Into the Sea, a studio album, in 2015. Fallstar is an American metalcore band from Portland, Oregon. Founded in 2007, the original lineup consisted of lead vocalist Chris Ratzlaff, guitarists Justin Raymond Haag and Jason Brown, bassist Bryan Ratzlaff, and drummer Cody Carrier.

Hands was an American Christian metal band from Fargo, North Dakota, United States. The band started making music in 2007, with lead vocalist and guitarist Shane Ochsner, lead guitarist Ian Johnson, bass guitarist Chris Schwartz, and drummer Josh Silbernagel. Jerik Hendrickson became the band's lead guitarist in 2010, but he has since left the band, with Shane Ochsner taking over lead guitar duties. The band released one extended play, The Everlasting, independently in 2007. Their first studio album, The Sounds of Earth, was released by Oort Records in 2009. Nothing Til Blood, formerly known as Aim for the Day, is an American Christian hardcore and Christian metal band from Birmingham, Alabama. The band started making music in 2010, and their members at the time were lead vocalist, Amadeus Pryor, background vocalist and guitarist, Travis Higginbotham, guitarist, Cameron White, bassist, Matthew White, and drummer, William-Allen Johnson. They released one independently made album, Bloodcry, while they were Aim for the Day. The band released their first studio album, When Lambs Become Lions, in 2011 with Strike First Records. Their lead vocalist changed to Hector Becarra, at this juncture of leaving Strike First Records. They went independent, releasing another studio album, Still Standing, in 2014.

Call to Preserve was an American Christian and straight edge crossover thrash band who played a fusion hardcore punk and metalcore. They come from Rockledge, Florida. The band started making music in 2003, and disbanded in 2011. Their membership was vocalist, John Ellis, guitarists, Duke Ahrens, Matt Aviles, and Harbor Partin, bass guitarist, Kyle Bowen, and drummer, Mike Aviles. The band released one independently made extended play, Call to Preserve, in 2003. Their first studio album, Unsinkable, was released by Strike First Records, in 2006. The subsequent studio album, From Isolation, was released by Facedown Records, in 2008. They released, Life of Defiance, with Facedown Records, in 2010, and this was final studio album. Their last release, an extended play, Validation, was released by Facedown Records, in 2011, marking this as their final musical recording.

Take It Back! was an American rock band from Fayetteville, Arkansas. The band started making music in 2005, and disbanded in 2009. Their membership was vocalist, Nick Thomas, guitarists, Daniel Hawkins and Cody Bradley, and drummer, Josh Huskey. The band released an extended play, Rumors of Revolt, in 2009, with Facedown Records. Their first studio album, Can't Fight Robots, was released by Facedown Records, in 2008. Thieves & Liars (2006–2010) was an American Christian rock and Christian metal band from San Diego, California, where they formed in 2006, and disbanded in 2010. The members of the band were vocalist and bassist, Joey Bradford, drummer and vocalist, Kyle Rosa, and lead guitarist, Corey Edelmann. Their first album, When Dreams Become Reality, was released in 2008 by Facedown Records alongside Dreamt Records. The subsequent album, American Rock 'N' Roll, was released by the aforementioned record labels, in 2009.

Seventh Star is an American Christian hardcore and Christian metal band, and they primarily play hardcore punk and metalcore. They come from Ocala, Florida. The band started making music, in 1998, founded by Mike Whitaker, Jai Leacock and Shawn Douglas and disbanded, in 2008, while their members were Shawn Douglas, Johnny Intravaia, Drew Russ, and Chase Moore,. They released four albums, the first being "Lifeblood" which was mainly DIY, followed by three with Facedown Records, Dead End in 2003, Brood of Vipers in 2005, and The Undisputed Truth in 2007. The band, as of 2015, reunited for some concerts, one with the support of Gideon, Bishop, and Culture Killer. The band also played Facedown Fest in 2016.

Maranatha is sludge metal band from Ohio. The band consists of vocalist, guitarist, and drummer, Collin Simula, vocalist and bassist, Jack Huston, guitarist Darrell Chess and drummer Wes Jackson.
