Onwards is the first studio album from the Norwegian heavy metal band Triosphere. It was released in Norway in 2006 by FaceFront Records and the rest of Europe in 2007 by Plastic Head Distribution. The Japanese label Spiritual Beast released the album in Asia in 2006 and in the United States in 2007.

Reception

The album has received positive reviews from metal review sites and the specialized press. In August 2009, Onwards receives the award for Metal album of the Year from "Just Plain Folks Music Organization", world's largest independent music organization, in competition with more than 40.000 artists in all genres around the world. [1]

The album marked a significant musical change from the metalcore sound of their preceding album Ascendancy, with the band utilizing thrash metal influences. Accordingly, vocalist/guitarist Matt Heafy sings with primarily 'clean' vocals throughout The Crusade, rather than utilizing the 'screaming' style heard on Ascendancy.

Gorelord is a Norwegian death metal band which uses horror movie-like themes in its music. It is the one man side project of Frediablo of the band Necrophagia. Contrary to some reports, Gorelord is based in Oslo, Norway. In September 2005 Frediablo issued a statement saying he was quitting Necrophagia among all of his music projects and bands he was involved in, except for Grimfist. He was also a member of Wurdulak, Hemnur, Soul Forsaken, Ave Sathanas, Blodkrig, Deride and was a session member in Svartpest.

Metal Heart is the sixth studio album by German heavy metal band Accept, released in 1985. Although the group had recorded before at Dierks-Studios, this was the first album produced by Dieter Dierks himself. It marked the return of guitarist Jörg Fischer after a two year absence, with Herman Frank having been his replacement. This album was a cautious attempt to crack the lucrative American market with more accessible songcraft and emphasis on hooks and melodies. Although critically panned at the time, today Metal Heart is often considered by fans as one of the band's best records. It contains several of their classic songs such as "Metal Heart" and "Living for Tonite". The band also makes a detour into jazz metal territory with the unusual song "Teach Us to Survive".

In Sorte Diaboli is the seventh studio album by Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir, released in 2007. It is the band's first concept album. A site on the Nuclear Blast website was created for In Sorte Diaboli, in which a new promotional photo can be seen and an audio sample can be heard. This would be the last album by Dimmu Borgir to feature ICS Vortex, Hellhammer and Mustis.

The first part, Red for Fire, was released on 18 October 2005, while the second part, Black for Death, was released on 24 November 2006. The band was quoted as saying "Solefald was experimenting when everybody was being true. Now that things are changing and that we've pushed the experiment quite far already, we wanted Red for Fire plus Black for Death to be our attempts at being 'true'.
