The Order of Development is a high honor for the merit in the development of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

Contents

The order is awarded by H.E. The President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith. The order was established in 1995. There are three classes to be awarded merit class. The award is reserved for those who have made exceptional contributions to the development of the Lao People's Democratic Republic. This medal and its insignia were presented in Prime Minister's speech No. 57/Nor. Yor., on June 22. [1]

Design

It is a pointed round chest emblem, gilt with enamel, 30mm wide (as shown), with hanging ribbon.

It was decided to change the arrangement of the ribbon bar with this medal from the previous standard - so the 1st class has one stripe, the 2nd class has two stripes, the 3rd class has three strips, unlike the original design and other Laotian PDR medals. [2]

The design is a gold medal and a gold star. The ribbon is a service rod (25 mm), blue with one red stripe.
Second class
The design is a gold medal and silver star. The ribbon is a service rod (25 mm), blue with one red stripe.
Third class
The design is a silver medal and gold star. The ribbon is a service rod (25 mm), blue with one red stripe.

The Order of Victory was the highest military decoration awarded for World War II service in the Soviet Union, and one of the rarest orders in the world. The order was awarded only to Generals and Marshals for successfully conducting combat operations involving one or more army groups and resulting in a "successful operation within the framework of one or several fronts resulting in a radical change of the situation in favor of the Red Army." The Order of Victory is a standalone decoration awarded specially for service in World War II; unlike other awards such as the Hero of the Soviet Union, it does not belong to any order of ranking. The Order of Leopold II is an order of Belgium and is named in honor of King Leopold II. The decoration was established on 24 August 1900 by Leopold II as Sovereign of the Congo Free State and was in 1908, upon Congo being handed over to Belgium, incorporated into the Belgian awards system. The order is awarded for meritorious service to the sovereign of Belgium, and as a token of his personal goodwill. It can be awarded to both Belgians and foreigners, and is seen as diplomatic gift of merit.

The Royal Order of the Lion was established by King Leopold II of Belgium on 9 April 1891, in his capacity as ruler of the Congo Free State, and was awarded for services to the Congo and its ruler that did not deserve the award of the Order of the African Star, and were not necessarily performed from within Belgian Congo.

Colombian military decorations date back as far as the founding of the country. An early decoration was the Cruz de Boyacá that was awarded to the generals who led their forces to victory in the Battle of Boyacá in 1819. This early decoration lives on today as an incarnation of the highest order presented by the Colombian state. There is one decoration higher, but it is only awarded for military conflicts in defence of Colombia. The Order of Civic Merit of the Kingdom of Laos was established on November 20, 1950 under Royal Ordinance No. 186 by H.M. Sisavang Phoulivong, The King of Laos. It is an Order of Civic Merit for civil officials and military officers. It was awarded for meritorious and courageous service to the State in three classes. Until 1975 the approval authority was the Prime Minister of the Royal Lao Government. The current approval authority is H.E. Professor Maha Khamphoui Sisavatdy, Prime Minister of the Royal Lao Government in Exile as an elected successor to the Office of the Prime Minister of the Royal Lao Government.
