Ortaklar is a neighbourhood of the municipality and district of Germencik, Aydın Province, Turkey. [1] Its population is 13,242 (2022). [2] Before the 2013 reorganisation, it was a town ( belde ). [3] [4] It is 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) to Germencik and 28 kilometres (17 mi) to Aydın. The ruins of ancient Magnesia on the Maeander are 4 km south of Ortaklar. [5]

It is a typical Aegean Region town. Figs and grapes are its most important products, although it is also known for its çöp kebap restaurants too.

History

The village was founded after 1886 when the railroad from İzmir to Aydın was constructed. After the Balkan wars, Turkish refugees from Greece were settled in the village and, it being on the route of the railway and close to the D.320 state highway, the village quickly flourished. In 1949 it was declared a town.

Güzelçamlı is a sea-side neighbourhood of the municipality and district of Kuşadası, Aydın Province, Turkey. Its population is 7,981 (2022). Before the 2013 reorganisation, it was a town (belde). It is an increasingly popular tourist resort. It is situated at a distance of 23 kilometres (14 mi) following the shoreline southwards from the district's center of Kuşadası. The town borders the Dilek Peninsula-Büyük Menderes Delta National Park to its immediate south. It is situated in the plains to the south west of Çine Creek a tributary of Büyükmenderes River. The distance to Çine is 16 kilometres (9.9 mi) and to Aydın is 52 kilometres (32 mi). The earlier name of the settlement was Akçaoba referring to the nomadic Turkmen founders of the settlement in 1820s. In 1969, the settlement was declared a seat of township. Main economic activity is olive groves and cattle breeding. There is an integrated meat plant in the town.

Konaklı is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Ödemiş, İzmir Province, Turkey. Its population is 1,511 (2022). Before the 2013 reorganisation, it was a town (belde). It is situated in the northern slopes of Aydın Mountains. Its distance to Ödemiş is 15 kilometres (9.3 mi). Konaklı was declared a seat of township in 1960. The main agricultural crops are fruits and vegetables. Sericulture is a relatively new activity.
