Ijebu-Ode is a town in Ogun State, South Western geopolitical zone in Nigeria, close to the A121 highway. The city is located 110 km by road north-east of Lagos; it is within 100 km (62 mi) of the Atlantic Ocean in the eastern part of Ogun State and possesses a warm tropical climate.

Sagamu or Ishagamu is a conglomeration of thirteen towns located in Ogun State along the Ibu River and Eruwuru Stream between Lagos and Ibadan, founded in the mid 19th century by members of the Remo branch of the Yoruba people in south-western Nigeria. The 13 towns that made it up are : Makun, Offin Sonyindo, Epe, Ibido, Igbepa, Ado, Oko, Ipoji, Batoro, Ijoku, Latawa and Ijagba. It is the capital of Remo Kingdom and the paramount ruler of the kingdom - Akarigbo of Remo's palace is in the town of Offin.

He previously represented the same constituency from 2007 to 2011 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), running for re-election on the Labour Party ticket in the 2011 elections, he polled only 8,762 votes. Sefiu Adegbenga Kaka of the ACN won with 76,543 votes.

It is located in the Ijebu North Local Governmental Area and the main town comprises seven contiguous districts: Ibipe, Isamuro, Idode, Odosinusi, Igan, Imosu, and Imere. The main campus of Olabisi Onabanjo University is located 7 km west of the city. In 1963, the town had a population of 14,718; by 2013, it was estimated to be about 190,000, with 40,000 of those being university students.

Ojude Obafestival is an ancient festival celebrated by the Yoruba people of Ijebu-Ode, a town in Ogun State, Southwestern Nigeria. This annual festival usually takes place the third day after Eid al-Kabir (Ileya), to pay homage and show respect to the Royal Majesty, the Awujale of Ijebuland. It is one of the most spiritual and glamorous festivals celebrated in Ijebuland and generally in Ogun State as a whole.

Itele, or Ijebu-Itele, is a town in the Ogun state of Nigeria, about 286 miles (460 km) from Abuja, the country's capital. The community is part of Ijebu-East LGA. It is considered a traditional state because it is headed by a king (Oba) with the royal title of Moyegeso, a part II Oba as stated in the official gazette in 1990 of the Ogun State Government. The incumbent is Oba Mufutau Adesanya Kasali Iboriaran I.
