Oscar Motuloh was born on 17 August 1959 in Surabaya, East Java. [1] He started his journalism career as a reporter at Antara (Indonesian News Agency) in 1988. [1] Two years later he was assigned to the Press Photo Division and directed that division (1990-2009). He teaches photojournalism across Indonesia. On 18 September 2019, He was awarded Empu Ageng (equivalent to Doctor Honoris Causa) from Indonesia Institute of The Arts, Yogyakarta. [2]
The kris or keris in Indonesian languages, is an Indonesian asymmetrical dagger with distinctive blade-patterning achieved through alternating laminations of iron and nickelous iron (pamor). The kris is famous for its distinctive wavy blade, although many have straight blades as well. Keris is also a symbol of power and of ethnic pride in most communities in Maritime Southeast Asia and Southern Thailand. Kris is also one of the weapons commonly used in Pencak Silat martial art, which is also native to the region.
Mount Merapi, Gunung Merapi, is an active stratovolcano located on the border between Central Java and Special Region of Yogyakarta provinces, Indonesia. It is the most active volcano in Indonesia and has erupted regularly since 1548. It is located approximately 28 kilometres (17 mi) north of Yogyakarta city which has a population of 2.4 million, and thousands of people live on the flanks of the volcano, with villages as high as 1,700 metres (5,600 ft) above sea level.
Barong is a panther-like creature and character in the Balinese mythology of Bali, Indonesia. He is the king of the spirits, leader of the hosts of good, and enemy of Rangda, the demon queen and mother of all spirit guarders in the mythological traditions of Bali. The battle between Barong and Rangda is featured in the Barong dance to represent the eternal battle between good and evil.

Reog or Réyog is a traditional Indonesian dance in an open arena that serves as folk entertainment, contains magical elements, the main dancer is a lion-headed person with a peacock feather decoration, plus several masked dancers and Kuda Lumping. Reog is one of the performing arts from the northwestern region of East Java and Ponorogo is the region where Reog originated. The city gate of Ponorogo is decorated with warok and gemblak, two characters who were present at the time when Reog is performed. Reog is one of Indonesian culture that is still very strong with mystical elements and mysticism.
Teguh Karya was an Indonesian film director. Starting his entertainment career in theatre, he made his directorial debut with Wadjah Seorang Laki-Laki, released three years later. He later directed numerous critically acclaimed films, including Cinta Pertama, Badai Pasti Berlalu, and November 1828. In 2001 Karya died from complications from a 1998 stroke.

The Greater Jakarta LRT or Jabodebek LRT is a rapid transit system currently under construction in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia, and the adjacent area of West Java and Banten, within Jakarta Metropolitan area. To be directly operated by the Indonesian State Railways, the system is planned to connect Jakarta city center with suburbs in Greater Jakarta such as Bogor, Depok and Bekasi, hence its acronym "Jabodebek".

Kucumbu Tubuh Indahku is a 2018 Indonesian Javanese-language coming-of-age drama film directed by Garin Nugroho and produced by Ifa Isfansyah. The film tells the story of a dancer in the Lengger tribe who became the gemblak of a warok in the form of the classic Reog tradition. The plot is loosely based on dancer Rianto's life; Rianto also stars in the film. The ensemble cast includes Muhammad Khan, Sujiwo Tejo, Teuku Rifnu WIkana, Randy Pangalila, and Endah Laras.
Doni Monardo is Indonesian Army lieutenant general who currently serves as Head of Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB). He also serves as Chief of the Coronavirus Disease Response Acceleration Task Force during the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. Monardo supported the government's decision to refrain from a country-wide lockdown, arguing doing so would overwhelm the government.
