Katowice is the capital city of the Silesian Voivodeship in southern Poland and the central city of the Katowice urban area. As of 2021, Katowice has an official population of 286,960, and a resident population estimate of around 315,000. Katowice is a central part of the Metropolis GZM, with a population of 2.3 million, and a part of a larger Katowice-Ostrava metropolitan area that extends into the Czech Republic and has a population of around 5 million people, making it one of the most populous metropolitan areas in the European Union.
Rybnik is a city in southern Poland, in the Silesian Voivodeship, around 38 km (24 mi) southwest of Katowice, the region's capital, and around 19 km (11 mi) from the Czech border. It is one of the major cities of the Katowice-Ostrava metropolitan area with a population of 5.3 million and the main city of the so-called Subregion Zachodni, previously also known as the Rybnik Coal Area. With a population of 135,994 as of January 1, 2022, it is the 25th most-populous city in Poland.
Jaworzno is a city in southern Poland, near Katowice. It lies in the Silesian Highlands, on the Przemsza river. Jaworzno belongs to Lesser Poland and despite belonging to Silesian Voivodeship since 1999, Jaworzno is not part of Silesia. The city is situated in the Silesian Voivodeship since its formation in 1999, previously (1975–1999) it was in Katowice Voivodeship. Jaworzno is one of the cities of the 2,7 million conurbation – Katowice urban area and within a greater Katowice-Ostrava metropolitan area populated by about 5,294,000 people. The population of the city is 89,350 (2021).
Winogrady is a part of the Stare Miasto district of the city of Poznań in western Poland. It is situated north of the Cytadela park. The name refers to the vineyards which formerly existed in the area – historically there were two villages there called Winiary.

The construction of the district began in 1961 during the times of the People's Republic of Poland. The name was chosen as 1961 was a 1000th anniversary of the founding of Poland.
Załęże is a district of Katowice, located in the north-western part of the city, in the central part of the Upper Silesian conurbation, on the Rawa river. It runs along Gliwicka street characteristic tortuous course of the city center to the border of Chorzów.
Dąb is a district of Katowice, located in the northern part of the city, by the Rawa. It has an area of 1.86 km2 and in 2007 had 7,694 inhabitants.
Osiedle Paderewskiego–Muchowiec is a district of Katowice. It has an area of 7.42 km2 and in 2007 had 12,253 inhabitants.

In the Polish system of local administration, a dzielnica is an administrative subdivision or quarter of a city or town. A dzielnica may have its own elected council, and those of Warsaw each have their own mayor (burmistrz). Like the osiedle and sołectwo, a dzielnica is an auxiliary unit of a gmina. These units are created by decision of the gmina council, and do not have legal personality in their own right.
Pustków Osiedle is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Dębica, within Dębica County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland. It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north-east of Dębica and 37 km (23 mi) west of the regional capital Rzeszów. The housing estate – built in the 1930s – is nearly synonymous with the adjacent Pustków village. Total area of Pustków Osiedle – the smallest village in Gmina Dębica – is 150 hectares ; while the area of Pustków – the largest – is 2,285 hectares.

Brynów-Osiedle Zgrzebnioka is a district of Katowice, located in the central part of the city, within the western district cluster. It borders four other districts: Śródmieście, Osiedle Paderewskiego – Muchowiec, Piotrowice-Ochojec, and Załęska Hałda-Brynów. This district primarily encompasses the eastern part of the historical Brynów municipality, along with the estates established within it, such as Brynów A, Ptasie, and Zgrzebnioka, as well as new housing complexes developed in the area around Ceglana and Meteorologów streets.
