Oskhali is a small town on Hatiya island of Noakhali District in the Chittagong Division, Bangladesh.

The town is in the centre of Hatiya. The town has a population of about 50,000. Most of the people live under the poverty line. Still, there are many educated people who live there. Access to Nijhum Dwip island is through this town.

A M High School is located in the town.

Hatiya Island is an island in the northern Bay of Bengal, Bangladesh, at the mouth of the Meghna river. The Island falls under Hatiya Upazila of Noakhali District. The island has an area of 480 km2. Other major offshore islands of this region are Bhola Island and Manpura Island. All of these islands are densely populated. It is frequently subject to cyclones and destructive ocean waves.

The Bengal Foredeep is one of the world's largest exogeosynclines. It runs parallel to the hinge zone of the Sub-Himalayan Foredeep. It is about 450 kilometers wide in southern Bangladesh, narrowing towards the northeast. Folded belts of the Burmese Alpide mobile belt mark its eastern boundary. After Modern Education Act came in effect in 1971 BS [2028 BS], the school merged with Janatadhan Higher Secondary School. In 1980 [2037 BS], the school was reopened.

Swarna Dweep, also known as Jahaijar Char, is an inhabited island in the Bay of Bengal. It is a part of the Hatiya Upazila under Noakhali District of Chittagong Division, Bangladesh. It is administered by Bangladesh Army as a strategic training base. The Island is 360 square kilometer and is located in the Meghna estuary.
