The Kaimai Range is a mountain range in the North Island of New Zealand. It is part of a series of ranges, with the Coromandel Range to the north and the Mamaku Ranges to the south. The Kaimai Range separates the Waikato in the west from the Bay of Plenty in the east.
Hikuai is a small community on the Tairua River towards the base of the Coromandel Peninsula in the North Island of New Zealand. It lies 40 kilometres north of Waihi and 10 kilometres southwest of Tairua, close to the junction of State Highways 25 and 25A, the latter of which is a winding road cutting across the steep Coromandel Range of hills. It is a tourist hot spot in days such as New Zealand Labour Weekend, The Christmas Holidays and especially when Tairua and Pauanui are busy.

A 1947 Geographic Board enquiry ruled that the official name would be Waihou.

The town of Whangamatā is sited on the southeast coast of the Coromandel Peninsula in the North Island of New Zealand. It is located 30 kilometres north of Waihi, to the north of the western extremity of the Bay of Plenty.

Te Puru is a locality on the western side of the Coromandel Peninsula of New Zealand. State Highway 25 runs through it. Tapu lies about 7 km to the north, and Thames is about 12 km to the south. The Te Puru Stream and about 18 tributaries drain a steep hilly 23 km² area of the Coromandel Range, almost entirely covered by native forest. It runs through the settlement and into the Firth of Thames to the west. Flooding has been a problem.

The river generally flows west, reaching its outflow into the Waihou River 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Paeroa on the edge of the Hauraki Plains.
The Kauaeranga River is a river of New Zealand's North Island. One of the main rivers on the Coromandel Peninsula, it rises in the Coromandel Range which forms the backbone of the peninsula, flowing southwest to reach the Firth of Thames at Thames
The Makotuku River is a river of the west of New Zealand's North Island. It flows southwest from the slopes of Mount Ruapehu and passes through the town of Raetihi before its confluence with the Mangawhero River.
The Manganui o te Ao River is a river of the centre of New Zealand's North Island. It has its source in numerous streams and small rivers which flow west from the slopes of Mount Ruapehu, though the main course of the river flows predominantly southwest through rugged hill country to meet with the Whanganui River 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Pipiriki, at the edge of the Whanganui National Park.

The Mangatawhiri River is a river of the Auckland and Waikato regions of New Zealand's North Island. It flows generally southwest from its sources in the Hunua Ranges southeast of Clevedon before flowing through a system of irrigation canals at the northern edge of the Waikato Plains close to the town of Pokeno. It reaches the Waikato River close to the township of Mercer.
The Waitekauri River is a river of the Waikato Region of New Zealand's North Island. It flows south from the Coromandel Range at the foot of the Coromandel Peninsula to reach the Ohinemuri River six kilometres west of Waihi.

The Mangapiko Stream is mostly a low-lying peat stream that flows through the heart of the Waipa district, Waikato. The stream begins near the summit of Mt Maungatautari and then weaves westward through low-lying dairy farmland and eventually becomes the tributary of the Waipa River near Pirongia.
The Waikawau River is the name of two rivers of the Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand's North Island. The more southerly flows generally west from its sources in the Coromandel Range, reaching the Firth of Thames 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) north of Tapu. The other flows south east off the Moehau Range to join the Pacific at Waikawau.
